  1. PURSUTE

    XRT Utes

Go the utes!! Heres my turbo and my best mates 8. We get a lot of attention when we cruise together, hehehe.
  2. I'll be there, with 3 utes and at least 6 people. Driving up from Canberra on sunday morning. Give us a PM if any one wants to hook up and do the congo. Any idea if you still get the half price deal for passengers in the back seats of a crew cab?
  3. Actually the XR utes and Pursuit have been given a little extra room inside the rear wheel arches. The plastic liner has just been modified to accomodate this. My guess for the reason is that due to higher tourque levels, the wheels were contacting the chassie rails on hard launches. This happened constantly to me on my AU ute when I had the blower on it, leaving small scrape marks both on the chassie and the wheel. I think it also brings the width between the wheel arches to just inside the width of a standard pallet I think, reducing the chance that the ute will be overloaded.
  4. Yep, I did a simmilar thing to mine. I was too used to the AU, which fits over the top of a standard gutter hight at the front. Drove into a gutter and put some lovely big scratches in the underside of my bumper. Big enough to take chunks out of my wash glove when I wash the car. Vik, was the quote you got for a full bumper re-spray? I would be interested to know how much the total quote was as I may go and get mine done at some point.

Davo, that is a very classy looking ride there mate. I have always been a fan of the slightly modded pov packs, they always seem to look much cleaner and more purposfull. Very nice!!
  6. PURSUTE: The chicken didn't make it, damn thing is still stuck in my intercooler!
  7. I think this will be the go in the future, but as was said above, we wait untill the EEC VII is effectively 'cracked'. Using the massive amount of experience Japanese modders have had with turbo cars can only be a good thing.
  8. I think it would only fit in the XR8, it needs the bulge.

    Cool Road

I bet the Road sign has been pilfered hundreds of times. In my younger and much dumber days, a mate and I got busted trying to pilfer the road sign from 'Expensive Daewoo St', in Ulladulla I think it was. The bloke that busted us said he had busted heaps of people doing it as his living room window looked over the street.
  10. I went to John Mcgrath Belconnen (where I baught my car) yesterday to have a look. When I got there I asked the first salesman I saw about it. He said, quote, What is a GTP? unquote. I nearly fell over backwards. I promptly turned around and walked out without another word.
  11. What a great turn out!! I had a great time, and damn did we turn some heads. 14 BA's lined up at the lights at Ollums must have been a fantastic sight to see. I think we might have got up the nose of some of the bikers trying to have a go on the way down to the Cotter, hehehe. Well done to everyone for the restraint though. Much better that way IMO. I was too buisy looking at the line of cars to be driving quickly anyway. And I nearly fell out of my seat laughing after the 2 pics were taken at the lights on cotter road. BWAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA Big thanks to Falchoon for doing some orginising, and also a big thanks for those who made the effort to come from out of town. I'm gonna go back to dreaming about Aussie Pete's brakes now...... Mick.
  12. DON'T USE THE FOAM!!!! It is illegal to repair a tyre after that stuff has been in a tyre because it can deteriorate the rubber on the inner walls. Bite the bullit and use the spare. At least then the tyre may still be repairable. That stuff should only be used when you have no other choice. We'll just take pics of the other side of the car. :D
  13. Sweet! This is gonna be great. My mate just picked up his Blueprint XR8 ute (new company car, B*****D!), so he's coming along too, so we can all show him that the T is a much better car. :flippingfinger: LOL!! Just kidding. I actually got a quick blat around the block at lunch today, and I must say, that is by far the sweetest exhaust note of any stock Aussie car I have ever heard. Hope everyone is still gonne come!! I'll be there with bells on.
  14. 1.5M/256k pipe to myself. 10 seconds to download that one. WOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!
  15. That sounds like a nice kit. How did they do the rear? New springs or reset yours?
