  1. I think I will try out the Achilles next time, as I won't be paying $400 a corner. I really wish I could get the rims I want in 18's but think I will have to go upto 19's to get the Vertini's.
  2. So I settled on the Toyo T1 Sports as they are made in Japan, have been getting good reviews and the price I them for turned out to be a steal. I was quoted 306 a corner from my tyre guy turns out that was his cost ex GST but he honored the price all the same. Poor guy even lost money on the fit and balance... lucky he does my fleet of 30 tritons so I guess he will make it up on the next invoice.
  3. Yeah I was seriously looking at the Achilles ATR Sports as I can get them for $180 each and people seem to talk them up as good bang for buck, but the being made in Indo was a worry. Right now I am leaning towards the Toyo T1 Sports for $306 each, and they are made in Japan... undecided still, guess that's the reason for the post, glad someone else has the ATRs on and they are upto par. Will really have to look at them again.
  4. So I need to replace the tyres on the wifes G6ET and all the local dealers have a different story to tell when it comes to tyres some say the korean stuff is trash like the nexen N1000's, or that the Archilles ATR Sports are great buying. It currently has 245 40R 18 93Y Dunlops on it atm, which I can get in Syndey for $270, or in Brisbane for $388 grrrrr.... Looked at Pirelli Rosso's which I can get in Syndey for $350 delivered but won't have time to freight em going away on Friday and need them done by then and here in Brissy the best price I've been quoted for Rosso's are $399. So my question to all you is what rubber are you using and how is it going for you in terms of longevity, noise and performance.
  5. The cost to have a good after market LSD installed if you are really hell bent on having one is sfa, less then 2k, the options you get in the G6ET over and XR is well and truly worth more then that.
  6. Tab, it was pretty easy to get so something must be a foot or they are well over supplied... I put it down to the 4 cycl being available from next year? The dealer with the F6 was a bit surprised they were so keen to discount it that heavily. Either way the G6ET has everything my wife could ever want and goes like a bat out of hell to boot so I won't be complaining. Good to join the club.
  7. It's brand new had 10 k's on it I think, we started off looking at an F6 with Leather but my wife wanted all the bells and whistles. I haggled with them for a few days, we started out at $60k drive away... I ended up with a $18k discount to bring to down to $42,967.40, with the plates/tint/protection/jacket thrown in as sweetners. With that kind of deal it made the F6 with leather at 69k a joke. So I have a very happy wife at the moment.
  8. I just got my wife a new 2010 G6ET with 18" wheels, but prestige personalised plates, leather protection/tint options and a ford jacket thrown in for 43k drive away here in Brisbane.
