  1. Thanks Rhino.. Ford ?.. tits on a bull.. that's all I have to say! lol
  2. Hey guys Was just after the part number for FG F6 injectors (Bosch) Have had conflicting information, so would like to clear it up once and for all Cheers
  3. Wow mate.. that's going to look incredible if you manage to tuck em. Im running 10 inch FR's on the rear with a 275 but my dish starts 5mm of the lower trailing arm. Had them re-dished that way. No scrubbing even with the car fully loaded. I think you need to speak to tocchi ! Where did you manage to find the OEM simmons? Havent seen a set of those for years! White and charcoal looks great.. but then again.. Im biased
  4. An Automotive trade mag lobbed on my desk yesterday and flicking through it I noticed an add from GCG turbos in relation to a new intank fuel pump replacement. Its called a DEATSCH WERKS 300ltr/hr pump.(DW300) They state it is a direct replacement for the 255/ltr/hr (part number gss-341) commononly used in the Australian tuning market. Its 100% E85 feul compatible Pumps 325ltr/hr at 60psi & 300ltr/ at 40psi of fuel line pressure 3 year warranty and fitting kits to suit popular models They flow tested with individual custom reports Retails for $210 Anyone heard of/used these ? Also.. have a question on FG F6 injectors. Was wondering what the part numbers are and CC rates Thanks
  5. Lol.. Funny you should say that! I think Tempe is looking at the Russian market!! Thanks Luke
  6. Wheels werent that bad... I was lucky. Costly bit was getting them re-dished.. twice!! Suprisingly it rides really good. Smoother than stock. After past experiences with Bilstiens and the like, I went for the Koni reds. Pat at wholesale sort of pushed me that way too. More than happy I did. Coupled with the lower profile tyres its firm but not jittery or thumpy. P.S.. on the hunt for a FG F6 rear muffler and tip assembly.
  7. Thanks mate.. I sort of knew how I wanted it to look before I even purchased it. Less is more attitude I guess. Yeah 12.8 isnt too shabby for a stocker. But in saying that, probably one of the best mods you can do to get these things quicker is to give them traction. Makes all the difference.
  8. Hi Guys Sort of been hanging around here for the past year or so.. so I thought it was about time I introduce myself officially. This is my FG XRT. Purchased new 12 months ago. First Ford (apart from acouple of GT,s over the years) after owning a string of HSV' since the early 90's. An extremely refreshing change, and loving it. Same old story as from what Ive gathered with alot of you on here.. Im not going to modify. Happy to keep it stock... FAIL !! So..Ill give you a quick run down on what Ive done so far.. and I guess in the order of aswell. 1. Surfacetech stone guard protection. Clear film that covers complete front bar, guards, bonnet and rear vision mirrors. I hate stonechips. Brilliant stuff, highly reccomended 2. New rear bootlid and G6 lip spoiler- debadged & G6 bootlid liner 3.XR8 airbox and K&N.. 4. Kings and Koni suspension 5. Simmons wheels (originals) FR19's 9&10 inch respectively. Kumho KU31 245/35 & 275/30 (grippy but noisy) 6.Brembo 6 & 4spots.. bebco braided lines 7.FPV GS exhaust mould And that's about it..so far. Just getting round to engine mods.. but no rush. Have ran it at WISD.. stock, bar intake and rubber and managed a 12.8 @ 109mph So there we have it. Must say this site has been a wealth of information.. so thanks guys..and hope to catch up on a cruise sooner than later Cheers
  9. Spot on mate.. checked them last night. 2.5 and 3 respectively Can you work out the offset from that ? Much appreciated
  10. what were they before? and did you just extend the outer shell? oh ok, ive got 2 to 3mm clearance up front, and about 10mm on the rear -- hell pisses me off ... I want the same clearance on the rear (2 to 3mm). Yep.. mines at 2-3 mmm on the front. Put the spacer in for piece of mind. Ill have to measure the front outer shells. I had these on the rear initially. Could be 2.5 inch ????? Spacers are just repco specials.. cheapies.. they come in 3,5 and 8mm Not the best but will do for now
  11. Which shock/spring... brand/combination have you gone for??
  12. Looks great. Lowering will transform it..and make the 19' actually look bigger.
  13. Mate so am I !! Trust me.. Was abit dubious and nervous fitting them . But I can assure you they dont. Ive had it fully loaded, 5 adults and luggage and no scrubbing at all. The guy who set them up for me is an ex employee of Tony Simmons. he was his assembler and painter. Was with him for 7 years leading up to the end of trade. Hes set up shop in Sydney, modifying an painting Simmons wheels. Nice guy and extremely knowledgeable with there wheels. PM me if you want any details. Yeah I must admit.. it does look good. You know youve hit the nail on the head when SS guys give you the thumbs up !! lol
  14. Not quite sure mate.. I think Tocchi can figure it out. We just kept going wider by "eye".. real professional ay !! lol Ive dishd inwards to approx 10mm of the front suspension arm and rear trailing arm. The outside lip of the rear rim clears the guard lip by about 2mm on full compression. The 275' fit well with alittle bit of stretch over the rim. Its full back there with minimal fuss. Oh and these arent Tempe specials... the real deal. Big difference in quality. Runnung Koni reds all round. Cant fault them with a smoother that stock ride quality. Mate the rears clear the 4 spots by about 5mm... and Ive had to use a 5mm spacer on the 6 spot fronts which Im not fussed about. Just adds to the overall front track width. Do your front wheels clear? Ive been meaning to ask you ???
  15. lol.. I can spell.. I canz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Heres mine.. sorry for the crap pics. Get beeter ones up soon.. Simmons FR 19x9 & 19x10's Kumho ku31 245/35 & 275/30 Rear Sssl kins in rear with no scrubbig or camber mods.. I wanna be like you when I grow up Tocchi !!!!
  17. Rumour has it... and having the guy who last worked for Tony Simmon telling me they made 10 sets of 20 inch Simmons. Tony was having problems with structural rigidity. God knows how the 22FR's appeared so quickly!! Ill post pics mate.. it definitely toughen the ass end up!! They 10 inch went staight on.. no adjustment to camber etc what so ever. 275/35 with SSSL KINGS. Tyre clears the guard by 2mm on full compression. Yeah polishing and sealing will help, but I havent done either , running 6pot brembos and 4 on the rear with no where near as much brake dust reaction as on this F6. Camera packed it and in the process of getting a new one ...Ill get some up soon that will do it justice Cheers
  18. Oh .. Tocchi.. have upgraded to 9 & 10's... that's it!! No more !!! lol
  19. Tempe technically only purchased the name and design from Simmons. Original Simmons have a cast then machined centres, Tempe Simmmons are now CNC'd . Shells are imported from China.. as Tony was doing towards the end of his ownership. So.. basically I cant see the justification for the exuberant prices being asked. My guess is to pay off the new CNC machine theyve just purchased..Huge investment for sure. Have heard some horror stories in relation to the build quality. A friend of mine purchased a set of 20x8.5 & 10.5's for his FG F6 ute.. Time will tell, but initially hes found that the brake dust is causing havoc on the polished shells, having to polish them on a weekly basis. Could be that the that the alloy used is more porous.

And your should be quicker .. Ran my stock FG XR6T to a 12.802@ 109.61...
  22. not reccomended as its a fly-by-wire set up. Can cause huge issues.. ie complete throttle body replacement and coding

    Here She Is

Very nice.. How did you find insurance compared to the T ? Also Im suprised at the 3.73 ratio.. youd think with all the torque they would of gone a higher ration ie..2.73
