  1. Be careful with camber. Ive been running 1.8 degrees up front till recently and the tyre were starting to feather on the inside edge. Just shimmed it out to bring it to a more respectable 1.1 degree neg camber. The wider the tyre the more wear youll encounter..
  2. Mate what a great colour! Ive never seen it before. It would look great on sunset I bet!!. Wheels and ride height are perfect. Well done.. How many Km's on it ?
  3. Im running a 19x9 on the front of the FG. 245/35 Kumho.(340mm hub to wheel centre ride height) Not sure of offset . But looking at my clearances to the strut theres a good half an inch clearance. Moving to 20's is a whole new ball game but definitely doable in 20's. Most avaliable wheels seem to be 8.5 so choice is limited unfortunately May have a chance over the weekend to work out the offset on the fronts if your still interested Cheers
  4. Wouldnt hold my breath... Cant see FPV just handing parts like that out without the premuim of having them fit them and charge 1st born prices. Brings back memeories of the good ol days when ford did sell "hot up" parts over the counter !
  5. Looks good.. Classic wheel Is it just me or do black wheels look smaller in diameter than they really are ??
  6. could be rear bump stops rubbing. Have you trimmed them down ??
  7. Sorry guys..just saw this thread. Ok..been doin my head on this. I'm currently on 19x10 +35. 275/30. Bit of stretch on the tyre which helps it just..and I mean just clear the guard by about 2mm. That gives me about 12mm clearance to the control blade on the inside. Oh have to mention I'm on sssl kings 20x10 +40 will see run 285 easily with 7mm control blade clearance. The 285's will be pretty much straight up and down in the sidewalk department and give you the clearance you need for the guard. KPM and the like are running 295's requiring control blade modes. . Dazed and confused.. Lol
  8. Just had a quick look on the site. Go to the gallery and look at the close up of the front wheel on the white VE SS front wheel. Doulded up wheel weights stuck on the inside of the rim!! Hmm.. Quality wheel !!!
  9. Hmm.. I liked the FG because of its "cat like" appearance.. Now its squared off. FGII guys can also say goodbye to ICC mounted guages..
  10. No lip to really roll on the FG's.. As stated before.. Im on 19x10 with 275 and no problem at all. These things just swallow wheels !
  11. Yep.. 2010 build in Winter white and mine has ripples too. Not as noticeable on white though. Dont like your chances through warranty
  12. Thanks guys.. +38 will certainly fit Im running 10 with +30 at the moment. But moving to +40 will sit the tyre further in and lose some of that flush look I was trying to achieve. Have a look at Wagnmans post.. that's just perfection! +35 !! Thanks again.. Ill just have to sit down and nut this one out I guess Cheers..
  13. Ive got +30 now and it sits as flush as can be. From memeory it didnt leave me much clearance to the inside trailing arm. Im afraid if I go +40 the tyre/rim may foul the trailing arm. Ive really got to sit dowm and work it out with a tape measure I guess. Mate dont blame you getting all snap happy... that looks incredible!! These things really need rubber out back to look good. Youve nailed it!! Exhaust being stailess grow as they get hotter.. maybe that explains the extra length ??
  14. Thanks wagman.. Looking at a set of 20x10 with a +40offset.. just wondering how theyll sit before I hand over the cash Im running 19x10 at the moment.. with 275/30 and the tyre just clears the rear guard by about 2mm. I think theyre +30.. I think Mate gotta say you have a weapon there.. Thanks again
  15. Been thinking of rolling.. What size tyre/ offset wheels are you running to require rolling ? Cheers
  16. Hey guys.. Thinkink of stepping up to 20's on my FG sedan. Fronts are 8.5x20 +35 and rears 20x10 +40.. How do you think theyll sit.. especially the rears? I want them as flush as possible Cheers
  17. You sound chuffed with it !.. Who tuned it for you ?
  18. Love the wheels... Hes done well with it..
  19. Dont go Brembo they as dusty as #uck ! Im using SRT's... admittedly on 6pots.. But great pedal feel, work from cold and reasonable dust. Have previously used Red stuff pads but found them a bit harsh on the rotors Hope this helps
  20. Gee andf I thought I got a bargain.!! FTG in Melbourne.. 300-350 from memory.. purschased a year ago but only got round to installing it now..
  21. For anyone that's interested.. just had a F6 cluster intalled and programmed by Sinclair Ford. Great service and all done whilst I waited $115 all up. We quick to knock the dealerships but I think credit should be given when its due. Cheers
  22. Im still acouple of months away from a tune.. but definitely will look into it. Cheers
  23. I was almost certain this would of created some interest ?? Anyway I will be looking into it, as we deal with these guys on a weekly basis. Maybe at this capacity it could dom away with any external pumps & pots ??
  24. Thanks guys... you had my head spinning there for a moment.. but all good now Thanks again..much appreciated
  25. How will the ZF tuning be carried out? On the Dyno? out on the road? Excuse my ignorace, but I cant see how a tuner can simulate rod conditions on a dyno? Also.. does this mean generic ZF tunes are feasible? Apart from 400rwkw plus freaks of nature... most will probably benefit from the same tune. Or slight deviations. Say stage 1..2..and 3 depending on your requirements and driving style. Why not take it further. Offer 3 tunes and upload them when different characteristics are required?? Personally, I cant see a tuner "custom" tuning each and every ZF individually. And to mos towners, they wouldnt know the difference unlike an engine tune. Anyway.. just food for thought... Personally I cant wait !!
