  1. Most probably bouncing on your bump stops(front). Look at a lowered VE next time. They bounce in the rear allover the place. Are you running standard struts? Pretty sure anything aftermarket have shorter bumpstops.
  2. Looking at the Pics Pete posted.. the fronts should be perfect. I may have to roll the leading edge of the front guard. It may catch on full lock combined with a bump.. Should be flush.. not hella.. Worm??!! Worm?!?!?!?! yes?!?!? Maybe ?!?!? lol
  3. Mate I got 20x8.5 @ +20... and 20x10 @ +40 The fronts should sit fairly flush according to my calculations. And as Corzza stated.. the rears.. theoretically should just scrape in. Now in saying that.. different tyre brands are either wide or narrow carcas tyres. ie falken 275 were about the same width as a Kumho 245 when put side by side. Apparently Nittos are true to size..or atleast that's what Ali told me. In a strange sort od way I hope they do rub so I have to roll the guards and get the tolerances right down.
  4. Worm.. not so worried about fitment. I know they will.. but more ride quality. Going to 295 with a 30 profile will raise the overall diameter way too much. So your sort of forced to run 25 at those widths. Hell.. there only tyres and Ebay is only a key-stroke away!! lol
  5. Yup.. Thems the ones.... Theyve got a very unique paint finish on them.. you can almost call it anodised.finish.. Yeah a photo shoot would be great.. Maybe whack em on yours to see.. Got the workshop so its no hassle.. Let me see if they fit 1st.. may require the services of the guard roller you used..
  6. Hey Pete.. either can I !! Still abit nervous with the profiles.. Have to drop by a go Kart shop to get the short short black valves ... Should have them fitted to the XR by Sat nite..
  7. After an anxious 10 days my new TSW Nurberburings arrived today. 8.5x20 +20 and 10x20 +40 in gunmetal. Must say Im very impressed with their finish...but what really amazed me was their weight. Very light .. 10kg and 10.6 kg respectively( personally they feel lighter..will try and weigh them before fitting tyres) . After having run other numerous 20' wheels these things are feather weights. Id put them on par with my FR Simmons... Unspring weight is what its all about. So after having a chat with Ali down at Taleb , we settled on a set of NITTO INVO's in 255/30 and 295/25's Having them fitted on saturday.. Can honestly say its the 1st set of wheels that's actually got me excited !! lol Will post pic over the weekend weather permitting... Cheers
  8. that's insane! Id love to drive one with that sort of mumbo!! Looks like a 3rd gear run...
  9. Looks great roof.. This was the 1st mod I did to my FG when I purchased it in 2010 For reference I paid $308 all up for the boot lid. Im in the trade so it was a great price. Just letting you know so you can screw your ford parts guy alittle.. The lip I purchased from FTG.. from memeory around the 200 mark but dont quote me..
  10. TIHZHO .... Saw these on a Blue brock GroupA more that 20 years ago. Was following it and just couldnt work it out.. that is until I passed it and looked in the rear vision mirror Very clever...
  11. That's a great time!! Cop cars have stock diff ratios.. My tuner calibrates all the speedos for nsw cop cars..
  12. Im running SSSL in the front of mine. Hub to top of wheel arch measurent sits at 340mm Shock travel is definitely compromised..
  13. Could be the swirl pot design. When they changed mine they changed the pump the second time. Same thing. Learn to live with it I guess
  14. Yep.. mines the same. 2010 build xrt. I took it back to Ford and after the usual "we cant hear anything" I had them replace the whole sender unit/swirl pot assemblies. Didnt fix it. I think its just an inherrent design issue. But it does sound like its sucking air in. Quite annoying when the car is so quiet inside.
  15. Go Kings. Pedders sag over time. You wont have a problem with kings.
  16. White and black always looks good. Well done What offsets are the rears?
  17. To give you an idea front SRT's cost me 190 and rotors 580.. I can live with those prices..
  18. Yeah Brembo pads are expensive. But theres plenty of choice thank god. Im currently on Bendix SRT's on the front and Bendix Heavy duty rears. Suprisingly theyre not too dust,,just abit growly when theyre cold. Even have choice of DBA rotors insted of flipping for originals. Huge savings especially when you pay wholesale prices. You can basically halve it.
  19. True.. Ive had Harrops , AP's and now Brembos... End of the day.. on the street you wont notice the price difference.. If anything Pad material will be more noticable Asthetically they are porn !!
  20. The price of being individual I guess !! Nearly double the value of Brembo 6/4 spot set up...
  21. I think finding the correct offset for the front will be the battle. Youll find the majority of 9.5's are arount the +30 to +40 range. They wont fit on the front.
  22. Love the black... but I swore never again.. Wanted a silver in the FG but I found it a bit "washed out" for a silver So I went winter white. I think it suites the shape
