I heard about the same numbers re the total 50thAnn editions. When I ordered mine, I had the choice (and got manual). They said to me that one they have the production slot on the line, they could choose options an colour until it reached a certain point.... Dont knew what that is. I'm guessing that manuals would be special orders, as when I was looking none of the dealers had stock orders for a manual and I had to wait for it.....

Have to agree with some of the other comments. Check what it covers very carefully. Some or a limit on each component like max of $1,000 on transmission, or $500 on the cooling system.

That is because it was probably run in "Properly"!

But they may have put the switch in the off position when they sold it?

Is it a manual by any chance? MY FG did it from day one....was told that it was "rollover" noise from the gearbox. Noise went away if I put the clutch in above idle. I have read that different/more gearbox fluid makes a difference.

I am pretty sure that the spot where the high brake light would be on the rear windscreen is actually blacked out on mine? (FG)....

Mine is the same. First noticed it when it had about 100km on it......(not 100,00km!!) had it "Checked" by two dealserships and they both tell me it is "Normal". There are a few topics on here that using different oil in the gearbox goes a long way to reducing the rollover noise from the gearbox. Interestingly though, my understanding is that the HSV R8 has the same gearbox, and my brother in laws makes no such noise?

In terms of performance, I cant comment as I have not driven an F6, but if I had the $$$ I would have got the F6....with the additional extras like the Brakes, interior etc I think I would have liked it better. Just my 2c

I think you will need to hold it down for a few seconds....there should then be an orange light in the dash to indicate that it is off.....

Out of curiosity, I called up re this car, and he was actually up front that it was written off in Adelaide due to rear end damage, but was surprised when I told him that it was also listed as written off due to water damage......

Agree....Like mine.....but I have also seen some that were just dodgy...should be easy enough to get a check from Vicroads if it has been listed as a write off..... I did think that late 2010 was early "y"s lig YBB etc. Also, missed the XR8 Bonnet....

From memory, those number plates seem a bit new for 2010.....I would try and check that it has not been re-registered....I.e. Repaiable writeoff that has been re-registered..... I paid $43k for the same car - except manual - Sept 2010, so I think it it pretty good value if it legit, just like Dillz said....

Does driving it out of the dealer's carpark sideways count as running it in gently?

I did the same, but found that the station in preset 1 got lost a couple of times....Has not happened for a while. Will keep an eye on it.....

I have had random radio stations change as well....while using the same key! Seems to be more often if the radio was used WITHOUT a key, then starting the car without turning off the radio? Has not happened to me for a while though.....

I have not really had and major issues, but what was the noise that your gearbox was making? I have a 6sp Manual, and it is making (and has since new) strange noises. I have been told by the dealer that it is simply "rollover" noise from the gearbox. It is a "gumbling" noise when in neutral at idle????

Ummm, no cruise for x km's???? Does driving out of the dealership sideways count :-) Agree with the oother points about the dash and reversing, but I actually like the radio being off while reversing....

OK, so if you have the phone jailbroken already - I assume that you will have Cydia installed already - open Cydia and search for an application "NoAccessorySplash" This will allow you to use the iPod interface on the phone while it is plugged in. It will also get rid of the annoying message when you plug it into the car that the accessory is not supported. Let me know if you have any issues! Have fun.

There is another way without disconnecting it....if you happen to be using an iphone or pod touch, you can jailbreak it an there is an app that removes the restriction on using the iphone music interface while plugged into an accessory. Can't remember it right now, but if you are interested I will look it up for you....

Correct me if I am wrong, but this is a sample pic fromthe web that you have found, not the actual csr that you are looking at...or does it really have only 30km on it Seriously though, being quite pricey to do, I would wonder why it was done, unless someone got the cluster with significantly less KM on it that the orig? Though on this, does anyone know I the KM of the xar is kept in the cluster or the cars computer?

Just an update.... Dropped the car off at the dealer on Monday morning....they looked at it, but by the time they did, they missed the cut off for the courier for the new part.....Guessing that if they had have taken my word for it, then they would have been able to get the part in time. In any case, they had it ready for me at 8.30 on Tuesday morning, pity that I think they used an apprentice to do the work! After I picked it up, got about a block away before it was coughing and spluttering and not going past 3000rpm. Returned to the dealer and they told me that the hose clamp had been done up too tight and was stripped. They replaced it within 10 min and it is now all good. Hopefully this one holds up!
