  5. Hey mate I know exactly how you feel!! I bought my Drift Iridium's from Autoban like 6 months ago, started it, looked at the included instructions and went UMMMMM.... WTF..... I went the SS Inductions twin pod $80 and Turbo Boost and Oil Temp... I don't really understand the oil pressure I know if it gets TOO high BOOM and that's about it... id rather know if I'm cooking my turbo, U know what I mean... Anyway, if someone in Brisbane has experience with this sort of stuff... HELP!... I'd like to do a how to guide on it because I cant seem to fine one on the site anywhere... I have a bit of money to throw at getting them in too... if anyone knows where I can find some detailed information, and I can do it my self, I'll donate the money I would have spent to this site. thanks in advance S.
  6. Hmm, Night Cruse... that sounds nice :-) can I come?
  7. LOL!!! I got a 2003 BA XR6T 144,000Ks 404HP@RW and as for your list put me down for 2, 3 and 4, with 1 that was kinda close, not my locks (yet) but all the switches for the electric windows didnt work when I bought it, thankgoodness for EBAY! there was a 6th thing you forgot to mention, 6. Glue that holds the roof lining to the roof starts to peel from just in from of the visors and continues to drop until you have a parachute in the car for a roof lining... I got a quote for a new lining installed for $220 from a mob in Albion. P.S. I havent worked out a reasonably cheap solution for the 2,3 and 4 problems.... PM me if you can lead me in the right direction maybe of a post describing how to fix these. S.
  8. I know this is a really old thread, but I have just bought a SS Inductions twin pod, I have taken some pictures for ppl to get idea about them B4 buying them, Let me just say I would not buy them again, I Bought them from Autobarn in Capalaba QLD and bought my Drift Iridium Gauges at the same time, went for Boost and Oil temp... (only cause I know what they are telling me, I don't know anything about oil pressure...) they gave me a 10% discount and I paid about $80 bucks for the Twin Pod N e way... I wasn't impressed when I realised that they don't fit! (see pics) and the colour doesn't match... Call me crazy, but when I pay $80 bucks for a 10c piece of plastic, I expect it to fit...! I will get out the Stanley knife and shave them at the bottom where it meets the ICC and hopefully I don't stuff it. If anyone has a better suggestion plz let me know?!? Thanks Scotty This is the way it sits flush against the dashboard If I push it hard against the dashboard and it forces the dashboard on the windscreen side physically up, I've held it in place to get an idea of the force needed to do this there is still a gap on the right if pushed hard in to place a photo of the packaging with part number.
  9. Thanks for the feed back fellas, I think rdp is a little to far and elite is also a bit out of the way, but if it doesn't work out I'll try elite next, Another member PM'ed me about a mob in Cleveland called BPS, I went to Bob Romano in Morningside 1st (is just 2 mins from where I'm living at the moment), got a quote for $350 for a service, I was there about 2.30 in the afternoon, the place was DEAD! no one in site.... and nothing happening in the workshop, I spoke to Chris seem fairly helpful but got a not really interested vibe from him. Then I went to BPS, James (seems to be the owner) was very helpful, made heaps of suggestions for the car, I got a much better vibe, so I booked in the XR6 for next week, 135k service $335 with a fully synthetic oil. James was telling me that the oil lines on the Xr6T to and from the turbo clog up easily, and quoted $160 to replace the lines with braided pipes and the serviceable oil filter in the turbo lines.... or something like that... James also seemed to think the 'cough cough chug' problem is probably the coils. I will let you know how it goes Scotty
  10. Hey all, This is my first new topic, I hope its in the right spot. Question I have is where do you get your cars serviced / tuned? I have a 03 XR6T with 130,000kms just bought it from some nice folks out Toowoomba way. It already gets 404rwhp but its doing some strange things, (like miss fireing after a boost when held in gear then booted again, it goes cough cough chugg, then Vrrmmmm. its like the traction control is on, but it's not) I want to take it to someone in brisbane to do a good value service and who really knows XR6 Turbos, I'm not scared to spend money, but I dont want to get ripped off... Also I've got a few more mods I would like to add to her yet What are your thoughts? Thanks
  11. Hey all, This is my 1st post, I got a 03 XR6T 130k on the clock, bought it 3 weeks ago, loving it, I only drive it on weekends and some times for highway driving, my other car is (no joke) a 04 Hyundai Getz 3dr, it my daily driver, so I can hardly wait for the weekends now! car b4 that was a BF XT on Gas, loved it, but got too many k's on the clock and had to go :( You'll be seeing me all over this place this is the best XR6 forum on the web! My hat off to "The Boss" this is my Baby...
