Hey Guys and Gals! My F6 is about 1800kms old, and since I bought it, the 4-pot brembo brakes squeak like hell in reverse! but in reverse only, and only at low speeds. and its really bad! very loud! the problem became apparent to me when I first reversed it into the driveway, on my way back from the dealer after purchase. so I thought "oh yeh, brand new brakes, they'll sort themselves out, I'll get it checked at the 3000kms inspection!" but 1800kms later, they're still just as bad. even worse after I washed it, and there's a little bit of surface rust on the discs. so I went to the dealer, and the service manager told me that its a problem will ALL new FPV cars. what the??? I questioned him if its brembo's fault, or FPV's and he said "its just one of those things." what the??? he said that even on the 3000km inspection, they won't b able to fix it, it'll always be there, and never go away (his words!) he mentioned its because the pads are directional, they will always squeak in reverse and maybe forwards as well. but I've had no problems going forward. so is this something they're just saying to me to not fix it before the 3000km inspection? or will it be sorted then, even though he said it wouldn't? I'm happy to wait till the inspection, but its become really embarrassing when I reverse into my driveway, or at the shopping center or work, cause I think people are thinking "Ohhh, brand new F6 and the brakes squeak! what a sh*t car!" so if there are any ford mechanics out there, is there truth to their claims that it can't be fixed? or can anyone here help me and lemme know if this is a problem on ALL FPV's? or just mine? and will it go away etc? any answers will be helpful! my mates GT is about 30000kms old, and he said his has NEVER squeaked, neither has his dad's GT-E ? so is mine a dud??? cheers guys!
