  1. Wasn't he told by one of the officials at the race to do a burnout?
  2. Just noticed that in the forums list under Ford Discussion is says "General Discussion about any Ford Vehicle including the new BA Falcon." I don't think we can really call the BA Falcon new anymore!
  3. Check these out... http://www.ford.com.au/range/falcon/models...neHorseRace.mp3 and http://www.ford.com.au/range/falcon/models...nExtinction.mp3
  4. Running in... I intended to take it easy with my car. But that lasted about 5 minutes. I hit the rev limiter regularly when running it in (but that was mainly because I'd gone from an auto to a manual)! I would say "Drive it hard, but not stupid". Most people on here will tell you not to baby it because if you do, you'll end up with bugger all power.
  5. What does he paint with?
  6. Same thing happened to mine. They ended up having to replace the PCM.
  7. Hi, welcome. Good to see another SA person on here.I always prefer using the advanced search, I.e. click on Search then click on the "More Options" button. I find it easier to use than the basic search.
  8. I heard it's been like that for years!
  9. Well, if they're stupid enough to keep driving it around, hopefully they'll end up getting caught.

    Wtf

Well, everyone knows that a sticker is worth an extra 10kw, and I reckon the design on the bonnet would be worth at least 40kw. Looks like there's about 6 stickers per door, so that's 12x 10kw + 40kw + 182kw standard giving a massive 342kw. And then if we take into account the clear tail lights, modified front bumper and fog lights... gee, this thing's a beast!
  11. The zorst is totally stock!!! It does sound nice, it must be the echo of being up in the hills! I just checked, and the video still works, it is quite large, but shouldn't take anything like 30 mins to load? Try again.n I had the site freeze on me 4 times this morning. Yeah, it was taking ages to come up for me too. Clicked Refresh and it came up almost straight away.
  12. I remember a time when I was third car in line at some traffic lights, and when the lights went green, the POS Late model camira at the front floored it and took off with lots of wheelspin. He had only gotten about 5 metres when the police car that was 2nd in line put its flashing lights on!
  13. My car was getting no or very little boost. Even when put back to standard. Was originally diagnosed as the wastegate solenoid, but they replaced that and it didn't fix the problem. Next thing on the checklist was the PCM.
  14. Got quite a shock when I saw this old thread (probably about the 2nd one I started) in the new posts! And no, my premium sound does not play CDRW's. Just sits there thinking about it for a moment, then spits the CD out.
  15. I too had to have mine reset after Ford replaced the PCM.
  16. Sounds like a distinct possibility. This has been suggested by a few friends, but I thought if this was the case that the clutch would also let go when taking off hard from a standing start. But it doesn't. Yep, have had the spark plugs re-gapped.
  17. Hey we could organise an HgAg Adelaide cruise! I'll come along and crash your HgAg cruise. I'll just have to remember to slow down every now and then to let the grey cars catch up!
  18. There's an example of Australian Quarantine not working!
  19. No, it does it with TC switched off. Thanks for the quick reply though!
  20. First off, a bit of background… My car has edit, injectors, and cold air intake. My car is a manual. Not long after I first got the edit, I had a warranty problem come up. I had the standard injectors put back in and flashed in the standard tune. As a result of this warranty work, the Ford dealer determined that the computer was faulty and replaced it. This meant that I had to get the edit redone for the new computer. After I had the edit redone, was when this problem started happening. The problem… When I rev out to about 5500-6000rpm and change up a gear, the car seems to stutter a couple of times when I put my foot down in the next gear, almost like a bunny hop (except at much higher speed). It also does it if I drive along at about 60-70km/h and change back to 2nd and floor it. It feels a lot like I’m stuffing up the gear change and bunny hopping the thing. But it happens regardless of if I do a quick change or take my time doing it. The only way I can drive quickly is to short-shift, which is really annoying! When I got my tuner to check it out, they said that it appeared to be something mechanical in the driveline, that I should put it back to standard and get it fixed under warranty. I have had the car put back to standard once since this problem first cropped up, and I just couldn’t get it to do it while it was standard, so I’m not convinced. In a couple of weeks’ time I’m going to take it to another tuning place and get them to check it out. I thought I’d post this on here to see if anyone has any ideas what it might be, or if anyone has experienced something similar to this. And I’ll post on here what the actual problem is when I find out for sure. I think that pretty well covers it!
  21. I drove my mate's VZ SS a while back, and I must admit that I was quite impressed. One thing that really struck me was that I was spinning the wheels on gear changes quite easily! If I was going to buy a car now, and not mod it, the SS would be very tempting. However, I think the XR6T has much better modding potential.
  22. How are your recent body modifications coming along? Classic!
  23. Obviously a slippery bit of road there!
  24. I know how you feel. Then dont mod them and they wont break all the time It broke more when it was standard though!
  25. Yeah, we don't even get normal Optimax here in SA either. :(
