    Edit.

Couldn't agree more, there's only so long everything can hold on when your pushing more boost & then add a bit of timing in on top of that & oh then lets cut out the fuel dump on the cat's & expect everything to hold on forever? I Don't think so, obviously depending on how you drive & treat the car is how long it will last!
  2. Thanks For the welcome! Yeah I know about the gear box issue, I want to sell this one as a conversion kit while it's still in the car & can be tested as it's prefect & get the T56! I need to back the tune off anyway as it valve floats over 5000rpm under load also, so yeah new g/box & springs needed!

    Edit.

Probably not the place for this question but does anyone have a xcal2 lying around there not using anymore, as I don't care if it's vin locked as I just want to use it to log my car! Pisser what Pit Lane Says about if you want it safe leave it STOCK! Good Work! Cheers Grunt FPV
  4. 182,000Kms 03 ba 5 speed xr6t 265rwKw, bought it 3 months ago & had to fix a bit! Heater didn't work-dash out P/steer leak Bonnet cable diff leak rear susp bush upper ball joint slave cylinder leak(G/box out, found out it had exedy extreme sport clutch though) BIG HOLE in firewall - previous owner just pulled 100mm grommet for normal auto cable spot to run lines for dash gauges(IDIOT as I can't get grommet from ford supposedly!) Think that's it for now, but generally happy & can't wait to see what else I can tweak out of it once I change to t56 Cheers Grunt FPV
  5. Hey All, Not sure if there's already a thread for this but as I've only had my xr6t for 3 months I've already had a few suspension issues! Mind you it has done 180,000Kms, it had the upper outer control arm bush(really a metal swivel joint)worn which if you grab the wheel free spinning on top & bottom & pivot in & out you get 2 or 3mm movement this is worn & caused a crabbing sqaulk noise when I was driving. It also has a worn L/h upper ball joint, surprisingly front stabiliser links are o.k. & lower ball joints are o.k. at the moment. apart from suspension it did have the R/h rear axle seal leaking at the diff housing, & of course the hi pressure P/steer union was leaking(which can be replaced without replacing the whole hose!). I found out that the rear(main) diff support bush has been changed though & to the newer stronger type which is a good thing as I have been told it's a day's work atleast to replace!(any other people confirm or deny this?). Cheers Grunt FPV
  6. Howdy all again, Yeah great site, a friend from a tuning forum is a moderator here & yeah great topics, ideas & the likes! Keep up the good work!
  7. I have 03 BA xr6t manual sedan & running 43Lb injectors & walbro in-tank & fuel avg say's 4.6 but I have just used 5/8 of a tank & got 300Km's so far, it's all stock apart from inj's & pump, but when I filled it up it said I only had 30Km's to empty but only took 55Litres & I tried to squeeze as much as I could in. Will be interesting to see what I get out of it, as I know the stft's & ltft's are spot on!
  8. Howdy all, I've just tweaked my electric blue 5 speed manual 6/03 BA XR6T to 265 rwKw on my mainline, I got it to 245rwKw on stock injectors & fuel pump but injector's were maxxing out, so new tune is safe max inj duty cycle now is 80% & put a walbro in-tank in it! Looking forward to hearing whats best for plenum kit & zaust! Cheers Grunt FPV
  9. Bit late on the scene, but yeah tell me about it, I just bought my xr6t & 2nd day the mrs came home in it & I said what happened to the rear drivers door & she said what? There was & still is a 1 inch wide & almost as deep dent right in the middle & only mark on it & the tell tale white paint left on it & the xr6t is electric blue. She vaguely remembered a white 4wd beside at the shops she stopped at for 5 mins when she came back(not when she parked!), but it's not worth the claim as it cost's as much for claim as it does for repair!
