Bit of a late update on my TTG for those interested Its been months since I last visited these forums - a lot of threads I need to read Anyways, as for my huge rust in the rear tail gate due to the fact that the rubbers had shrunk, this had to be the cause of the rust right Well I finally got Frauds Customer Service to pull there finger out and months and some harsh negotiations, Fraud finally got it repaired last week with new rubbers as I kept pushing them to replace em.. Mind u they thought they were doing me a favour because the car was out of warranty, huh dumb arses, didn't even know about the 5 yr corrosion warranty and on top of that the dealer reckoned it wasn't a common problems - ******* the lot of em - hate with a passion So now with this bloody rain and new rubbers, the tail gate STILL HAD WATER COME IN.....WTF, something is definitely wrong fork me - now to try and figure out where it's coming from and how it's getting in with new seals! Arrggghhh now to take it back this week for them to find the cause!

Hey Mate, I had mine replaced from Fraud a while back, so I am safe as long as I don't floor it off the lights, good thing the wife drives it daily and I only get it on longer drives! Apparently its a huge job and needs to drop suspension to rectify and at the time mine were being done, there was no after market for the front, only rear. Keen to see pictures! Wear some gloves when using sika to keep the mess to a min ! Cheers Kosti

Well I just called Ford spare parts and according to them, all 1600KG TB are the same? So I may bite the bullet and grab it since I picked up the wiring for the sensors for $50 so all up $230 not bad, all I need to do is find a ball :D I wanted a 2300KG but I do not plan to tow for long distances and will also be adding in a tranny cooler to keep it safe when I tow my boat which is a 5.3mtr heavy bastard Cheers Kosti

Hey Peeps, Sorry for firing up an old thread, I'm curious to understand why it was sealed in the first place? Did someone in upper management come down and say it was too loud? Why bung it up, why was it engineered that way and why didnt they go twins all the way? Sometimes the engineers @ Ford are on crack! Also would there be any advantages to reset the ECU once this was debungged? Whats the best method to reset the ECU in a TTG? Does anyone know how much of a difference it made in terms of power, would be keen to know before and after including noise level Cheers Kosti

Thanks for the quick reply, just looking at the picture online, it seems much more curved than what I normally see? See this one is what I was refering too http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140578809016&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT and this one looks so different http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260820672392&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Cheers

YEP, I've ordered 20L of ZFLG6 fluid and will be doing a full transmission flush and will also like to flush all fluids from the TTG to fresh oils, Engine I will use RP 10/40 for the others like Diffs PowerSteering Breakfluid what are people using recommend or grab OEM? As for power enhancements, still havent looked into what injectors they are and what I will need and if the fuel pump will be ok, then debung the exhaust and then a nice tune for fuel economy of course :D

Can you confirm the dates?

For those interested, I finally got a call from Ford stating parts are ready and to bring it in. whhoooohhooo, once this is done that's the end of the freebies and I will be glad to see the last of that dealership! High Pressure Power Steering Hose to be replaced and Transmission wiring sleeve to be replaced - my only concern here is the bastards said they capture the oil and re-use it, that's just ghey! Their service has been down the toilet the whole way and if they have done the job to start with there wouldn't be all these issues. Im sure they will be glad to see the last of me too :D

Great, will try this out, I've never head you need to run in a belt, so to speak, but worth a try.. It's going in to Ford to get the High pressure power steering hose replaced, so if it still does it I'll take it back and blame them :D The old girl has 78K on her now Cheers Kosti

Well I'm going to confirm if I can use my frequent flyers, got some dates to send me to check pls?

Started up the TTG today and thought Id pop the hood to check for any further noises comming from the engine bay after my recent ideler pulley and belt replacement and now I hear a very noisey what seems to be a powersteering pulley. WTF! just changed idler pulley and belt and now this! so annoyed with this vehilce atm.. Is this common on any other Fords? Can the pulley be replaced or is this a whole assembly unit? Cheers Kosti
