Thanks for all the comments guys. It will be at Central Coast Showdown next weekend if anyone is in the area and wants to check out some custom rides. Pretty decent show: http://www.centralcoastshowdown.com/

thanks mate. im planning on shortening the diff and getting the rear wheels re-hooped to change to offset for a massive dish. will post some pics when its done.

its about medium speed. I use 3/8 lines. most mini truckers etc use 1/2 inch lines for that fast action up and down. mine is all controlled by a digital setup so its nice and smooth and the ride quality is not compromised.

thanks mate. airbags are airbags mate. I havent heard a quite compressor(s) yet. depending on where you mount everything will determine the amount of noise but you definitely hear it inside and out. you can also put silencers on the air lines so you don't hear that noise on deflation (dropping car). lol yeah the cost is the big drama with bagging a ba/bf. dont expect much change from 9k for a proper legal set up

yeah I have gone down the standard fpv body kit look before with my typhoon and just concentrated on power. but for the ute I wanted to do something completely different and unique. bf fpv bar looks dated to me now. the fg f6 bar has a lot more aggression to it and as I didnt want it to look like the other people who have tried this conversion, I did it all the one colour (last minute decision) and im happy with the result. it has literally just been towed to Gentech to start the motor.

Cheers

Thanks for the prompt replies Henz and Dillz. They are billet wheels so I might enquire about changing the rear offset to gain some dish. Maybe make them x 10 at the rear. Im pretty sure this is possible with Billet's. Just a matter of removing the welds on the back of the rim?

Gday guys, just after a bit of advice. I have a BF MkII FPV Tornado Ute and would like to purchase a set of 20 inch wheels off a friend of mine. They have been made to clear big brembos and are my stud pattern (114.3). My only question is, will they fit? the offset is +35mm. 20 x 8 all round Any advice would be great. Thanks

I dont know how street ford punched out 350rwkw out of a stock 335GT. Maybe at the flywheel not def not at the rears.. as it has been said, dont worry about how the power feels, the v8 and turbo engine deliver power very differently. just because it feels quicker doesnt always mean it is.

brembos have now been repainted red and the hubs are now black... just waiting for the brembo stickers

haha, couldnt help myself mate. simply the best looking wheel I have seen that fit the FPV range.

haha, funny you say that. I went out today and bought some red caliper paint and some black for the hubs. Thanks mate, ill check it out

They are 20 x 8.5 for the front and 20 x 10 for the rear. 225/35 and 275/30s Thanks mate, I took them off as I dont like the look. I am going to sell the hard cover with the buldge, spoiler and roll bars and replace with a new one. Na mate, have only expeirenced slight scrubbing, ozzy did a pretty good job. really happy with them. Im never taking another dash out. it took me 4.5 hours to get it out properly and about 3 hours to put it back in cruise still isnt working : ( Yeah started early on the friday and went all weekend mate. I probably lied a bit, it was a long weekend : )

yeah righto bud, here's a pic of my STi where I did the whole car (not the seats) in the exact same leather.

Hi All Just thought I would share a few pics of my ute. Drove to Sydney today and bought some wheels and got the car lowered. Wheels - Vertini Fairlady 20 x 8.5 (f) and 20 x 10 ®. I had a brain snap on the weekend and decided the pull the dash out and re cover it with beige leather. It was quite a big job but I am happy with the outcome. Got a local paint store to colour match the material so I could match the plastic interior parts to the dash. Hoping to have the doors covered on the weekend, then ill look into what I am going to do with the seats. New carpet has also been ordered. Cheers

Fuel Stall At High Rpm And In High Gear

hi all, having a bit of trouble with my BF Tornado in 6 speed auto. if I put my foot down, the thing runs fine through first and second gear, but when it reaches third gear still with my foot flat it stops at certain revs and holds then kicks in and stops and hold revs again and kicks back in again. It continually does this whether your in changing gears manually or automatically. it seems like some sort of fuel surge but im not exactly sure but its definately something I want fixed. it has actually done it once or twice in first gear when traction has been an issue. interested to hear anyone thoughts. cheers -
thankyou. I know they didnt have DSC. I have owned BFs, BAs, FGs, FPVs and XRs. Pretty sure I have a good understanding of features on each model. Might have to check all my manuals though to see if 4 pages are missing out of allof them....... ; )

Ford only introduced DSC for the FG models. BA and BF do not have DSC. They only have TC and electronic brake force distribution. So I dont know what a couple of you are talking about. As for Mal Woods option 6, I have had this clutch with over 600rwkw and I can tell you, its the best clutch on the market for the xr6 turbo's/f6. I suggest to anyone to turn the TC off as soon as you get in the vehicle. Dropping the clutch with TC on is just plain stupid. As previosuly mentioned, the amount of damaged that your doing to the vehicle is not good at all.
