I have owned my ute since new and love it to bits, 3 years ago I had a left axle replaced after hitting a pot hole. The last 18 months has seen me towing some heavy machinery around on big trailers around 1.2t in total. This obviously has taken its toll on the drive train. I just recently replaced the centre bearing after some vibrations where coming out from under the car, drove fine for a month after it was fixed. Just recently when towing and coming on boost heavily in 1st and 2nd when towing I've been getting some serious vibrations coming from the diff, more so when going around a corners. Yesterday I had the oil replaced with some Castrol Syntrax 80w-140 diff oil. Seemed ok this morning but once the diff got warmed up it started to vibrate again, no where near as bad but still is there. Am I looking at a new diff ? Cheers lads

car got towed to fraud today, Turns out some little punk didnt clip on the reservour properly causing fluid to leak all over firewall and chassis. Car is getting repainted in effected area. Anyone know what I should look out for when it gets painted?

I also had tried taking off in second at the drags last year, only because I forgot to click it back to 1st after a 4thgear tire warm up Lost about 0.3 off my PB of 12.74 Standard FG ute

Ive just opened my bonnet to check fluids ETC, to notice brake fluid leaking all over the engine bay. Leaking through into the wheel arch and all over the paint work on the chassis and inner engine bay. I can peel the paint off with my finger! NOT HAPPY Rang up 1800 fraud and they sent a racv to come an check it out, car needs to be towed to ford as its a safety concern. Car warranty expires in 2 days time, lucky for me! WIll they repaint any effected areas? IE engine bay chassis? Cheers fellas FG xr6T ute

Since my car spends most of its life in manual mode, I find my self sometimes not noticing its still in 2nd gear once I come to a stop. So last night I loaded it up in 2nd to about 2.5 -3.0 rpm and launched it, with a bit of wheel spin it hooked up and just pulled strong all the way. Obviously its not good for the box. Any one else ever tried this? FG XR6T ute standard except for exhaust and pod (still under warranty)

Every FG ute ive seen has a squeaky axle or 2. Good luck getting warranty with lowered springs!

You may have reset the pads, which in the short term might stop the squeak. IT will be back! When the diff is under load or going around a corner that puts the most strain on the axles. Ive had axles replaced and only to find it happening again after a bit of sideways action.

You ALL have bent axles! The sound your hearing is the brake pad rubbing on the disc because the axle is out of alignment...... Too much wheel spin gives off diff tramp which slightly bends axles... even a big pot hole will do it

My Axles chirp as well when going over slight bumps, spoke to ford about it once and had to end up shelling out $800 for new axles. Same problem has arrised again. Do you think that I could Demand Replacements under warranty ? Its an imbarrasment when you are driving! Maybe its my Aftermarket air filter and Exhaust which is causing it.... lol

I compared my FG Ute rear end to an XF Rear end, and I must say there is not a whole lot of difference in design under there, apart from the obvious brakes etc etc... but f*ck sake ford, maybe just a little bit of change in a 100 years cant be that hard!

My 2009 stock fg turbo auto ute pulled a 12.7 quartermile at calder park, 3 times in a row. Not sure about 0-100 though

My 2009 FG xr6t Ute has a strange problem when it comes to locking. Mainly happens when the headlights are in (auto) mode and its dark enough for the lights to switch on. Basicly what happens is when I try to lock the car it beeps quickly 4 times and will not lock, after seconds attempt it works fine. I have taken car to ford but they could not fault a problem. Has anyone experienced this problem? Car is under warranty still! Cheers for any help. Rock stock FG turbs 12.7 quarter mile!

SPIC Tell me the rattle in your doors doesnt start happening when your on the highway doing 100km/h? sounds like the droped some screws down in the door frame? Also my ZF is sh*tting me to tears, I drive it in manual cause its so annoying.
