  1. Here's my ride.....been thru the big sports bike stage when I was younger, now the bars have to come to me
  2. Is that the Hi-TV Sat-Nav with the touch screen that you have and if so, does the stick on overlay affect the picture image in anyway, ie. increased glare or picture not as sharp?
  3. Jet, when you say "ho hum", are you saying they don't work ie. you have to poke the sh*t out of them to work properly or the idea of sticking something over the factory screen is not ideal?? Touch Screen would be the ultimate (as you don't have another remote to worry about) but if they don't work well, remote starts to look more attractive. Would be nice to see one in action.
  4. Anyone had any experience with either of these units from the aforementioned suppliers. Essentially, the ASL unit is operated by remote whereas the Hi-TV unit is Touch Screen that requires a thin screen added to the front of the factory screen......both units are FG specific. Also interested in fitting the Hi-TV PURE III Tuner but wondering about antenna choice......roof mount will obviously have the best reception but necessitates the drilling of a hole in the roof. I'm prepared to drill only if it's like chalk & cheese between the other style antennas. Hi-TV Antennas link
  5. On the subject of Chinese, I think you'll find the PW cores are from China as well.............but they do seem to do a great job
  6. I'm no cooler expert, and no doubt that the PW & Nizpro coolers are a proven product, but I'm guessing that the efficiency of the GTR cooler would be pretty good considering there are coolers out there like the PWR where their upper section of core is nigh unto useless. The problem with the GTR cooler is adapting it to the Ford without too much cutting. If however you do need to cut, then there's no reason not to go for a proven product like the Nizpro or PW as Dillz mentioned.
  7. nice, thanks
  8. Whilst on the topic of spoiler removal, I'm a bit of a fan of the "sleeper look".....has anyone devised a leak proof method to cover the boot lid holes, ie. plugs, grommets, something stick-on, etc?? Oh, and by the way JET, I'm the club Prez at SAU-SA so make sure you come and say g'day at the Willall dyno day next month
  9. Hey Ben Did you manage to get hold of Kyle last week to see how he went wit the HTA..........hanging out to see how they compare with the GTX3582 with a .7 comp cover re power and spool up time.
  10. ahh, was just looking at one of those new GTX turbos with a .7 comp cover, 38mm flapper and 12psi actuator for around the $2750 mark for my FG. Be interested to know if you can get a better price from anywhere. What size exhaust housing do the BA/BF and FG turbos have by the way........I'm thinking 1.06 on the earlier models
  11. I think you'll find that most cops these days are pretty cluey and can spot an IC a mile away and know that it's usually attached to a hairdryer under your bonnet
  12. This has been a facinating drama........like a midday soapie It's been almost 2 weeks since an update bud......hanging out to see some numbers from the tune. Hope all is going well with it......you now have me thinking about a piston/rod upgrade in my FG XR6T (before things go bang)
  13. No it won't bud. You can't imagine how much it would actually cost and what a headache for you to go this way. You'd end up with a low comp (gutless) N/A for starters....and what are you going to do with the manifolds, intercooler, ECU, exhaust, all your plumbing, etc etc??
