HI all I have a 04 xr6turbo 120000klms with xr8 bonnet 19inch bobjane alloys has the premium sound package cloth trim,it is standard engine wise apart from battery relocation hybrid cooler kit with deletion of the crossover pipe and copy plazmaman airbox with pod filter,roof lining needs replacing,what is a relistic price?I should put on as I have someone in my family going through bad times I need to help out I need to move the car on to get rid of the loan Thanks in advance for some advice

Sorry yes I meant higher ratio's as if it was 3.08:1 going to 3.45:1 seen a couple of 4.1 complete centers for sale.

Has anyone changed their diff ratio in their everyday xr6t,Id like abit more off the line does feel like it could do with taller ratio,s.My car is an 04 ba xr6t auto.I have done cooler and piping battery relocation to passanger side and also pod filter,plans after this are to fit my 4inch dump I have the 3.5 inch x force rear half and twin outlet muffler to fit once I get my exhaust housing back from the fab shop and will do the mid section myself.Will also be doing the usual wastegate actuator with my properly ported housing and oversised flapper,springs,injectors,fuel pump and flash tune as everyone does,With all that done what do people with experiance think about doing the ratio's, Worth it or not?When the car is finally tuned if it makes 300kw ill be happy to leave it there for now with the auto.

Should of added cant beat making parts like this out of thick craft cardboard first to make a templete you can bend it put screws through it to hold it together if you cut to much just add masking tape and recut.

I got carried away made my own bracket to mount my battery to the other side after getting a second hand cooler kit and really didnt want to keep the crossover ect,if someone tutours me how to scan and upload ill share these templetes which started from a rough copy of the plazma man kit I believe,took me about 3 days off and on as its my every day car,bits each night trial fits than paint,I already had fitted the cooler kit and changed the pipe work to not use the crossover so had the pod on the pipe already.I made it all out of an old parking sign approx 1.5mm alloy. near copy of original plazmaman I just changed the way it follows the fuse box top painted with crease line done,hard to do on a table out of an old parking sign haha, mucking around trying to get the base right,very hard to bend up with just a small vice and a big shifter,used alloy L section to clamp in vice for some bits finished in the car,spent alot of time on the base piece profiling it over the pipe feading the turbo from the pod to the turbo in and out but the old sign cost me $10 and another $60 for the pod filter piece of three inch stainless pipe with a bend on it and the silicon joiner from pipe to the compressor housing.

So have I got it right after you cut the old nut off you just screw the new nut into the pump and the old hose will just push in and clip to this once in?

my hdi kit is 2 and three quarter is that strange?

How do you tell if a used flash box has been reset?

Even if it sounds like an Rb its hard to miss the turbo on the right hand side of the engine bay in the dyno vid

geez how can I make my job sound better, Im a surface technician at riviera marine,(gelcoat and fibreglass repair and detail)haha

so ive got my aftermarket cooler pipe set up and pod setup causing overboosting,if I do the bigger wastegate port will that let my car run close to stock boost again nothing else is done at all yet

I have an 04 xr6t I did a pod filter and hybrid cooler all seamed fine but when I fitted the xr8 bonnet I changed the piping and got rid of the crossover and now it hits whatfeels like a soft rev cut is this boost cut I'm feeling the boost gauge appears to hit near 9 psi before it does this and yes it has new correctly gapped plugs

id be happy enough with it full manulised,well ive sold his engine now and pulled everthing else out hes keeping for the bf he changed over with the insurance ,pulling burnt cars apart is not fun at all,just have a rear end left now to sell and the box is mine,Thanks for the info though veva I didnt relize it had internal cpu.

My car is a ba, no not a motec full cpu these are a stand alone auto ecu just for the gearbox,ill look up the relivent links and post them,the one auto ecu I was looking at will cost 1100 including post,at a quick look it uses map speed and tps inputs and you set maximum rpm to gear perameters than tps to map load chart gear change than the rest will be a whole load of fine tuning.this is one of the controllers I was looking at.http://www.fuelairspark.com/Products/details/controller/over.asp

Fair enough,Ill keep it in mind riki83,im going to do a little more digging on these ecu's as I got a car loan so cant just trade up cars but I could throw a couple of grand at getting one of these ecu's if indeed it would work,I was thinking if this ecu would work with the gearbox being me having to do some work for the fella it would be better than going the c4/turbo400 ect route.now time for me to get burnt the standard box is btw just the prefix or what does it stand for.Thanks fellas

hi all my cars an 04 xr6t and I will be chasing the low to mid 300,s I have the oppurtunity to get a zf box for a very good price,the donor car had a engine bay fire so I have no loom or ecu to use and dont want to strip my car and go to the extent of a full loom ect conversion.I have seen aftermarket stand alone auto ecu,s along the lines of a microtech ect but just for the auto,roughly about $1100 australian to get one here has anyone any experiance with these,I was thinking than I may just need a manual ecu or a tune for my engine after removing the 4 spd

hi all just got my 04 xr6t weeks ago and just brought a second hand hybrid cooler kit and did my own relocation of battery to passanger side and pod filter set up,I havnt got owners manual for the car and im having trouble resetting the clock can anyone help,its the premium sound.

I just joint the forums and have just brought a 04 xr6 turbo but after seeing some of the reply posts in some of these forums im scared about asking about some of the mods or questions I have for getting crap rather than support,everyone told me not to get a ba go a bf and save up but by that time everone would of said dont by a bf buy a fg.If getting the n.a xr6 is all your current means allow and you wont miss going 4Bing over the xr6 I say go for it.

that's great ,Iam just getting my 05 xr6 turbo and this was one of my worries as my friends was at ford for three days getting it done.Luckily that was a while ago and under new car warranty,love the dyna bolt tool genius.
