  1. Thanks mate , they really do look better in person from my opinion. What were you driving mate ? We need to go for a drive sometime soon ......
  2. Keen to hear ideas and thoughts on this as I'll hopefully be doing the same thing in the near future. What's your supporting mods and what power are you hoping to achieve HSV ETR?
  3. If I wasnt working I'd come for sure.
  4. Ok so I presume nobody is interested in a meet at ringwood , drive to mt. dandy then to the yarra valley and back ??
  5. Yup, just waited 2 and a half years just to make my move........ Hah. Hopefully we can get 10 - 15 cars to come to this so please post interest.
  6. Hahah, you referring to me stainless ?
  7. Hey guys, I was thinking about organing a cruise on a saturday morning or evening at some stage, or evening a friday night depending on peoples feedback. I'll be happy to figure out times, Places to meet and the route if ppl let me know if they'd prefer a sat morning (having lunch somewhere), or friday night (dinner somewhere and drinks). I live in whoop whoop so most likely windy roads are gonna be in the mixture and I'll prob let the boys in blue know whats happening so we dont get pin pointed in one of their nights out but plz let me know so I can organise a decent cruise soon . Cheers (most likely consist of 2 - 4 hours driving + a feed for lunch / dinner somewhere).
  8. For the road I would definately be going the Toyo R888s. MT's are great for the drag strip but wouldn't offer much on the road. I've just put on 275 NT05's on the rear and now get full traction in 2nd after they're warmed up a little with a bit more than your power.
  9. Congratulations mate, unbelievable what a bit of that magic fuel does. Notice a big difference between this and the 98 tune ??
  10. Hey yeh, was thinking about getting the lip polished as well Worm, can always do that in the fututre anyway, but they certainly don't look like 17's. I had 18's in black too and these look bigger so I'm not overly concerned. And in pics the black lip mixes in with the tyre, In person there is a fair bit of difference tbh. I will contact them tomorrow and ask him to blank that out. Cheers for letting me know. The brakes will also be going on this week to so will post pics once they're sitting behind.
  11. Here's my new wheels fitted. They're Koya Inox SV23 S Spec 19", 8.5 F & 9.5 R. Can't keep those bloody tyres clean living on a dirt road :(. Wheels are wrapped in Nitto NT05's. Havn't really given them a decent crack yet but they look like they'll stick pretty well. Will be fitting brembos shortly so they should show the calipers off nicely. I think they look better in real life compared to photos as you can't see all the wheel details or quality in the photos .......... but I may be bias. Also may consider painting them another color in the future but certainly no time soon. It's a nice change from black wheels.
  12. Just taken some photos but will put it in a new thread for viewing.
  13. Ok new rims are on !!! Havn't got any pics atm but I love the look of them. Aggressive fitment but no poke which is just how I wanted them. And the staggered fitment also. Now just waiting for the brembo 6 pots to go on and can't decide whether I want to leave the brembos red or whether I sand them back and paint them yellow ??
  14. ^^ Me too . Haha. Just hoping they look the goods on.
  15. that's very interesting. Yeh it seems there was definately something a bit different going on there. Either way, I wanted to go new ones which are now all ready to pick up and looking good. So looking forward to putting those on .
  16. They're called inox sv23 s specs . In staggered fitment
  17. The rota distributor was extremely hard to deal with, and no fault to the vic distributor but I was sick of waiting so have returned those and purchased some koya wheels (19"). They will hopefully arrive before xmas and be promptly fitted with some brembo 6 pots on their arrival. Will be picking up the brembos with some in house pads on friday arvo and hopefully fitting them fri night if the wheels have arrived .
  18. hey mate, congrats on the new purchase. Bet it's a fair bit different to the old one !! . 300 does seem very low. I tend to get about 400 - 450kms out of a tank with a little bit of spirited driving. PS. Riff, ya beat me to it, hahah.
  19. Price was around 7k I think he said on the first page. They look absolutely awesome though !! Good stuff .
  20. Yeh will when I know anything. Taking along time for these bloody things to arrive !!
  21. They do look huge !! Bet they'll do the job nicely .
  22. ^^ absolutely spot on . Haha, called them and they said exactly the same thing. So looks like I'm stuck with the choice of brembos or harrop monoblocs ? Looking forward to hearing the review regardless.
  23. Bit of an update. Took them back to wheel tech and they tried to put them on. Funnily enough they didn't fit which the guy was pretty surprised at. Anyways, we think it may be a completely different offset to what it had on it. So there are 2 more on their way down and the guy fron Rota has had the ones he's sending on a few XR6T's, F6's. Hopefully they'll be ready on friday and hopefully these ones fit .
  24. Haha , may need to resort to that. But though he is wise, I don't think I recall seeing grids in any of his pics. . . . . I'll give wheeltech a call tomorrow and see what the go is . And I'll also take the tyre off first thing and make sure it's a 8.5" and nothing else on the fronts.
  25. I think Henz has them in the same size and pazzo and didnt have a problem. If anything the centre bore is too big and it seems pretty loose. But I wouldn't have though that would have made a difference to the centre cap pushing out ? Or maybe it does ... ? Lol.
