I am not really fussed on the consumption, I was just having a read on the forums and noticed a lot of people are averaging 12-15L/100kms, and I wasn't too sure if something was wrong with my car if I am averaging 17-19L. I don't drive with a heavy foot and 95% of the time the car is off boost. I guess just start stop driving and very short trips increases the consumption by a lot. David

Hi All, Just a quick question in regards to my fuel consumption on my bf f6 typhoon. The car is auto and stock standard. I mainly do start stop city driving, and I am finding my fuel consumption is between 17L/100km-19L/100km. My average speed is generally 28-30km/h and I just leave it in the normal auto mode and keep off boost. Does that figure sound right or should I get Ford to look over it? Just seems a bit high because my V8 had the same fuel consumption. Regards, David

Hi All, I purchased a bf mk2 f6 Typhoon a couple of weeks ago. Its a zf 6sp auto, with about 60,000kms and stock standard. Iv noticed whenever I accelerate hard and then back off, the car seems to be making a loud thumping sound which sounds like its coming from the engine bay. My thoughts are it could maybe be the engine mounts, but is there any way of narrowing it down to what it could be? Has anyone had a similar issue? Regards, David

Just in regards to the black one on car sales with low 20,000kms for just under 30k, I was speaking with the guy who owns it, and it does not have log books, and it has just had a full respray.

Hi Guys, I am just waiting on the log books to come to me via post for my car and just wondered if anyone with a bf mk2 f6 typhoon, would be able to post up from their log book, what is says is involved for the 60,000km service. Your help is much appreciated.

I just picked up my Bf Mk2 F6 Typhoon for 30k with 60,000kms in auto. All standard and very well looked after. Im going to keep it standard for a few months & then il put some power into it.

Thank you for all your help, I have called up Fpv, and the car matches up with the vin number, but I guess my main concern is not having the silver surround, it also doesnt have a number on the Fpv plate in the engine, and the spare wheel is an xr6 wheel. Just in regards to the spare wheel/tyre, should it be the same as the bf f6 wheel or is it a space saver? I guess my general concern about the car is that it could have been written off in another state, and then brought over to sydney and transferred all the parts into another chassis, and then swapped all the tags. the current owner is telling me he bought it like this, and it does have all the log books, but not the individual numbered certificate. I have done a Revs check and it is all fine. Has anyone had an experience or seen anything like this before? Regards David

Hi, I am new to the forums and I am looking to purchase a Bf f6 typhoon. Just had a couple of questions regarding them. Is there anything I should look out for to know whether its a genuine f6, not just an xr6t that's been built up? I have my eye on one, but looking through the forums and other pictures, it is an auto, and the plastic surrounding the gear shifter is silver, but everything else around it is black. The others that I have seen in photos that whole area is silver. I have attached 2 images, the 1st one is the car that I am looking at and the 2nd is of all the others I have seen. Are all the f6's numbered? I need to double check if this one has a tag near the cup holders, but in the engine bay is there a plate as well? Your answers would be much appreciated. Regards David
