yeah just raised it up in the tilt position etc as it was in but slightly higher

For a while now I've noticed my drivers seat creaking all the time especially when going over uneven surfaces. Its been driving me nuts and assuming the worst, yesterday I just raised it up slightly.....voila...noise gone. Pretty relieved as I thought I was either up for a new seat, big repair bill or I was stuck with it. Happy Days

Supercheap can order 42107XS for $558 pair 505X $284 pair and pads are $73 pair for fronts & rears total $988. Cheapest retail store in my area anyway. HTH

yeah first thing I noticed was the No auto drivers window, could have sworn the xr50 sedan had an illumination on the steering wheel though.

Just replaced my front headlight/HighBeam and parkers globes.........wot a c*nt of a job, even with the battery and air intake out. Also flushed the coolant for some nice green stuff and did the boost solenoid thing. Now off to work for a 12 hour night shift. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr

Just a query for any of the guys with XR50 utes. Pretty sure my XR50 Sedan had illuminated steering wheel and window switches but notice my ute doesnt. Can anyone confirm they wernt fitted to the utes?

Anyone know how to remove the FG Fog Lights in order to change bulbs......are they the same as BA/BF. Cheers

Just replaced my regularor in my xls. Its been struggling for ages to fully close, comes down fine but the other day it shatitself. When I took the door panel off part of the winder mechanism had fractured. Anyway got 1 from a place on sunshine coast via fleabay delivered next day for $63. Gave the tracks a bit of a squirt to aid movement works fine now. Take the panel off and have a look, easy 10 minute job. Btw ford wanted 260 for a new one.

Im trying to hook my android phone up to the icc via the iphone cable using a adaptor lead without much luck. Anyone found a successful way of doing this to enable phone, music connection etc.

Im in the same boat as the OP. I only got one key when I picked the car up (FG). I've bought a remote and key off fleabay for $150, had it cut by locksmith $35 but it seems as I only have one coded key the only option to get the new one programmed is to take it to ford. Rang around the local dealers and pricing for coding only ranges from $75 - $130. Anyone know of any cheaper options? Just for info a new key/remote cut and coded from ford is around $470 RRP

Bought my original 2010 xr50 sedan auto for $45k D/A in aug 2010, sold it last Oct for $37k unreg to a guy in canberra and just picking up a 2010 xr50 ute for $27k D/A. all in all not too bad. Couldnt really give a f*ck about resale, I love these cars and wouldnt buy anything else so thought I better get in before they start getting collectable. As for a H*lden..............yeah I'm not that desperate, hate there interiors.......Ford all the way . Now a Mustang .........
