Is it possible to tell if an x3 is unlocked without attaching it to a vehicle

Well I've just had my 45k service done by my usual Ford dealership (wont name and shame at this point). Capped price service was $475, as I have a CAI they didn't fit a filter so let me off $35 (big deal). So I drop it off at 8:45am yesterday go for a coffee get back just after 9:30 expecting to wait around for another hour and lo and behold its parked up. I ask if its done and I'm told yep ready to go. So I question why its so f*ckin expensive if it only takes an hour " well its ford's capped price servicing sir". So at the inflated price of $80 for oil and $20 for a filter even If it did take an hour, so that's $340 an hour labour........disgusting. So I'm stewing all the way home and get out my service book. Standard service is around an hour $385 capped price Major is around 1 1/2 hours $475 capped price Difference between the Major includes fitting a Filter (not done), sticking it on the Diagnostics and cleaning the cabin filter. So I'm pretty pissed off at this point. Well imagine my surprise when I check the cabin filter, full of leaves and sh*t so now I'm wondering wot else they didnt do, looking forward to my chat with them on monday. Anyways f*ck them they have serviced all my cars every service for years, currently 2 XR's and 2 Fiestas I dont trust them anymore so I'm looking for someone trustworthy and who charges a reasonable price for a good job. Would prefer Logan area, Mobile Mechanic or someone in south Brisbane....any recommendations guys?

Just picked my car up, all done new sump pan and oil change. not sure if ford paid for it or not but didnt cost me a thing. Had a loan car also for 3 days in all so a big shout out to Craig at Motorama Toyota Moorooka. Thanks Guys.

so my fog lights have gone milky, does anyone know if this is on the inside or outside of the lens and is it repairable with maybe a headlight restore kit

I tried Bosch plugs once, threw them in the bin 2 weeks later after nothing but dramas waste of $100. Went to ford on the advice of my brother and bought genuine for $60. Lesson learnt

Toyota just phoned asked me to bring it in on monday for repair, dont know if ford are paying for it or not but ill find out. Car is out of warranty btw.

ended up going Bendix HD on the front and the stock pads on the rear

When I bought my car (used) from a Toyota dealer in Brisbane back in August, prior to purchase I had a RACQ pre purchase inspection done. The only thing that came out of it was a suspected rear main seal oil leak. The dealer replaced the seal but as its nearing the end of its stat warranty thought I'd get my ford dealer to do a mini service and check-over. Ford said it looks like the rear main is leaking (again). Took it back to Toyota this morning, they've been all over it and say IT IS NOT the rear main but suspect the sump has become porous. They are taking it over to ford for inspection and try to get ford to cover it under warranty. Apparently Ford were not surprised about a porous sump so may be a common issue. Either way Toyota say they will cover any cost. Hopefully its gets sorted soon as I wanted to get a couple of mods done before xmas. Will update the progress

Can someone tell me wot size cat fits the standard FG Ute exhaust. I'm looking at a 3 1/2" to 5" body, will that do?

anyone know the right pad code for 19" rims on the 50th. Also Bendix pads any good

Jusr ordered 42107 xs and 505x from supercheap. They have 15% off dba at the moment but think its supposed to be store stock only but managed talk her into it. Full set rotors only $708

Dunno about the G6 but when I was lookin prefered the 50th XR over anything else including an F6( I know I must be Mad). Could've bought anything but really like the interiors and xtras you got with the 50th

Giving my rotors and calipers a touch up. Gonna replace the rotors eventually but got sick of seeing them rusty.

Anyone use QFM HPX pads?

Gonna be upgrading my rotors soon and wanted to get some decent pads too. Ive heard a lot of criticism about Bendix and squeeling and Ferodo seem to have a poor overall rep so which pads would be the go. Obviously Brake performance is crucial, but they also need to be quiet and not too abrasive or create a lot of dust. Any help appreciated
