If you're running an aftermarket headunit, why don't you just run the RCA's from that? That's the simplest and easiest way to run an amp for a sub ... When I first got my sub, I took the pos and neg input from before the amp and wired it into my own speaker level input in my Pioneer amp. It was sh*thouse to say the least. I then hijacked the signal from the rears and put them directly into the speaker level input in the amp and it's a lot better. Factory amp and it's corresponding signals are terrible =]

that's originally how I had mine Brennan. Works fine but I modified mine a little. You know how you have the filter rubbing up against that thick rubber hose that plumbs back into the crossover? You should remove that thick rubber hose and put a 1" chair stopper in its place and seal it with a hose clamp. You'll find that you have sh*tloads more room there and it won't be anywhere near as cramped =]

Good post xpl0sive. Different opinion to mine but I understand where you're coming from. Sounds like you know what you're talking about too!I weighed up getting the CVT8 and dropping it in but came across a CVR12 and 750W amp for $230 on another forum so I couldn't pass it up =P For shiz and giggles I ran the wires from the stock sub into this amp and it was atrocious. Like you said, the factory amp had nowhere near enough power to push this beast.

Wouldn't bother. I had a Kenwood FTA sub in my Premo setup and it still sounded crap. Weak link is the amp. I picked up a Kicker 07CVR12" in a sealed box with a Pioneer GM-5100T amp for a bargain price and wired the rear speakers into the speaker level input in the amp. 100x better than what I got out of the 8" sub. I'm not after a massive amount of doof doof, and this setup gives me just enough.

Well I drive a manual so that grommet was occupied by the brake and clutch cables for me. I ended up following the bonnet release cable. If you jack the drivers side front wheel up and remove the plastic arch you'll soon discover that a massive wiring loom and the bonnet release cable go from the bonnet into the wheel arch and then into the cabin through a decent sized hole. I managed to fit 4ga through it without using a grommet and my amp works fine =] I'll also add that it pops up in the cabin right where you want it. You can remove the kick panels and scuff guards and tuck it under the carpet and run it all the way to the boot. Get your remote signal off the cigarette lighter, run it under the drivers foot well carpet and along the same path and voila. Good as gold!

A G6 down the road from me has a sunroof in it, and the guy who drives it looks like an Egyptian mummy so I doubt he has to worry about body flex too much =S

I have the ASL boosted line-in kit in my car and yeah it's pretty awesome. One of my mates got this one: http://www.caripodcables.com.au/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=240&zenid=43e08e875f19137652593839c363e287 And it farrrrr outshines mine. No static or anything over the line, which is still prevalent on the ASL kit ... Half tempted to get one myself ...

I admit I jumped from razor to electric simply because I have real sensitive skin. I mean REAL sensitive. Using a razor I'd get a fair amount of shaving rash, regardless of how much moisturiser I used. I figured I spent close to $500 a year on shaving cream and razors so I invested in a $700 electric razor that needs new heads every 2 years or so. Best thing I ever did! Because there's no blades actually cutting the skin, I no longer get shaving rash. Don't need shaving cream but you still need to use an after shave balm or it gets a bit tender. Also if you do make the jump, ensure that you use it straight for 6 weeks! The first few weeks you don't get a good shave because your skin isn't used to it since you've spent years hacking at it with razor blades. After 6 weeks though you'll notice a world of difference. I can't recommend the jump highly enough. I know it's only shaving but for someone like me who gets razor burn a lot!

+1 for Xenon conversion. And while you're at it, go to the Retrofit source, pull part your headlights, and do this:

I went last year with my bro and a few of his mates, they needed someone 21 or over between the 6 of them or P&O wouldn't let them on as they were all 17/18 and it was schoolies time. I got more pussy then they did. Pacific Dawn 8 night cruise. Awesome. You won't regret it =P

Depends on the State the car is in (location location location!) and if its auto or manual! Given it has leather and premium, if it was auto I'd say about $16k. If it was manual I'd say about $19k would be right.

Being in the Army I've got a fair few mates in the bacon factory myself, they said there's no prior history of the car being flagged. The only prior owner was a 60 year old dude who drove like a grandpa. Literally. He had it since new! All my mates say is that the car stands out like dogs balls. In a sea of grey, black and blue, a shiny gold is just asking for trouble. They see the dark tint, they hear the loud exhaust, they wanna see who's driving it. Fair enough. I had a hot lady police officer give my car a thorough going over today. She could handcuff me anytime I reckon ...

Nah this one was a black FG, not sure if it was a turbo or not. I assume it was. Was doing 65 down Heathes after work and he just slipped in behind and flagged me down right next to the parking for the river. Like I said, I'm kinda regretting getting the Acid Rush now. It just stands out wayyyy too much. That's if the exhaust rumble doesn't get enough attention ...

The hoons are every where in Hoppers lol! Most of them I get challenged on the corner of the plaza, Derrimut and Heaths. The other big spot for it heading south on the corner of Morris and Sayers Rd, where it merges into 1 lane. Usually morons in skylines or commodores who wanna challenge. I've resisted the urge to put them in their place recently though because the fuzz have been everywhere! Speaking of which, I got pulled up by an XR6 undercover today, plated YBA something something. As usual just pulled up for a "random inspection, please step out of the car and open the bonnet" drill. But yeah, since when have their been undercover Falcons? I've only ever seen VE's as undercover cars!
