No warranty would be given on the hardware of the transmission, as always with any calibration if you are not happy with the way the transmission has been calibrated take it back to the tuner who done the job. Herod has thrown everything into his test cars and in nomral conditions nothing will go wrong with the hardware , if anything higher shift pressures will ensure longer life. we have given you guys the tools that have been needed to have your trans calibrated and the only way you can have your trans calibrated is by a tuner that has done training with herrod and is accredited, we have done this to protect you the end user.

But if your tuner already has done the tune it won't cost for a retune all that needs to be paid for is the trans calibration

Currently the accredited Herrod SCT ZF Transmission tuners can adjust the following characteristics of the 6HP26 transmission – -TCM based vehicle speed limiting -Shift schedule, which allows changing transmission shift points and how long the vehicle holds onto each gear in all transmission modes -Kick-down sensitivity -Change of shift pattern for differential gear changes -Manual mode downshifting -Eliminate holding second gear till standstill -Adjust torque converter stall settings -On-coming and Off-going clutch shift behaviour for built transmissions -Running Line Pressure for high power applications -Shift pressure per shift event based on actual gear -Maximum shift time and amount of slip for each shift -All of these pressure and time/slip settings are discrete for up-shift and downshift -Torque limits for general transmission operation -Torque reduction for each shift event -Maximum transmission torque capability for built transmissions -Torque characteristic to adapt for different viscosity transmission fluids This is a brief point form description of the kind of effects and results that can be achieved via adjustment and calibration of the several hundred files in the transmission

Only certified Herrod trained tuners will have access to the software and special firmware for the x3 , until tuners attend they will have nothing , this is only done to protect you the end user

Zf calibration tuner training and software release today Today we put though our first batch of tuners for the now released and long awaited Zf SCT / Herrod tuning software. Tuners from all around the country and many forums sponsors Bluepower racing , auto tech engineering , Kpm Motorsport , castle hill performance , elite automotive ,gen tech , Bruce heindrick , bob ramano , aitkenvale Dyno and many more . It was a great day and well received by the tuners . This is only the beginning of what will be a revolution in tuning for Australian fords. Tomorrow we have another 20'tuners attending that include Pitlane , Nizpro , bpr , and other tuners . I would like to personally thank these people who are attending our training for making the effort to come and sit down listen and learn from what we have worked for the last 3 years on a project that I thought would never happen due to the complexity of reverse engineering this German transmission For people who have been waiting for this the time has now come to make your ford into a truly remarkable car to drive . You may not be aware that only tuners who come to our training will have there software activated to be able to calibrate the transmission. After today's training every tuner was in agreeance with the way we have released the software and that every tuner needs to be trained in how to give you the end user the best possible result

We are not charging to upgrade the x3 to zf spec , it will only be available from selected tune shops that are doing our training course Tuners who do not attend the training course will not have zf software available on there software . We are doing this to protect you ,the end user . Calibration of this transmission is very complex and we will not just give tuners the software without training. If you choose to have your zf calibrated I would advise you to use your existing tuner as he will have your tune on file and all you will need to pay for is the trans calibration

Well it been a long time coming and we are in the final stages before a release date of the first august Results are very good and transform the way the transmission will change gears and we can even fix the 2-1downshift problem the fg turbo owners are complaining about . Hi stall convertors can now be fitted and the transmission calibrated Current owners of x3 will have there boxes updated with new firmware and software to suit the zf so there will be no need to change the x3 Xcal 2 will not work with the zf so I advise you to upgrade and purchase a new x3 The x2 can still be programed to suit the older 4 speed autos and manual vehicles So as long as the x2 has been returned to stock it can be sold.

Yes like all things that take time a cost will be involved But it will be your choice if you want the trans calibrated or not

The course is very involved and as stated unless a tuner comes to the course they will no be able to calibrate the transmission

All tuners are going to have to do the training course, special firmware to program the X3 device will only be avaliable to tuners that do the training course.
