  1. I spoke to my tuner and he doesnt want to be named .. but I am sure if you ring around and ask a few tuners in sydney you might find him...
  2. I got one of the US xcal3 flash boxes and my tuner was able to do it .. it took him some times to figure it out how to get around it .. from what I heard he has been doing XCAL3 and Custom tunes for like $1000..
  3. And you would complain that they put it in Wheels and you read Motor or some other one...
  4. Sorry no .. I have just been talking with my tuner at length and getting the facts about whats really happening and not jumping the gun..
  5. SCT are standing by there product... there are stopping the misuse of there product that they have spent so much money on just so you can have the lastest technolgy for your car. SCT does not make money unless we buy flash tuners (Unlike VCM Suite where credits are brought for $80USD) Why should SCT support Aust if people are stealing the small profit they would make for aust(R&D costs a lot of money).. I beat Aust is like 2-5% of there flash tuner sales.. The people you should be blaming is the people that created the need for cheap tunes and making a money hungry tuners steal from the product that has been supporting them/us. There is no point arguing the point.. I am sure they have looked into what they are doing ... Trade Prac Act says that a product must be supported for 5 years so the last XCAL1 to be made was proberly in 2003-4 in USA and then sold to CAPA as a old out of date product. We all brought it as it was the only device on the market that a company(SCT) was willing to support a small market. So with 5 years up of support of a product they are free to stop supportting the product.. its just like ford .. if they run out of a part from a '04 falcon they are not going to get more made are for you.. At the end of the day SCT is the premier tuning tool across the world for fords, VCM Suite doesnt have enough paramaters for forced induction cars and Sniper has proven to be unstable.. Stop crying about a few hundred dollars for something that 5 years old.. you loses thousands of dollars on your cars every year.. do you go crying to the dealership that your car isnt worth as much when you trade in on a newer model... No matter how this was handled we would be crying .. be happy the Herrods is dipping into his pocket to give you something for nothing.. what more did you want a registered post letter addressed to you and a comfirmation to say you recieved the notice that the flash tuner was going to be phase out... Thanks to SCT for finally sorting out the 6Spd auto software as these autos have been holding everyone back on the strip.. a lot of good 60ft's are goinbg to come of these change...
  6. Nathen I think you need to read the thread a bit closer or read the instruction that you got with your XCAL1 when you brought it from your tuning shop. Position "F" in your flash tuner is where yuor factory tune is kept so the XCAL1 knows that its for your car Position "1,2,3" have your custom tunes in them There is no reason to pull off your performance parts to flash tour back back to standard, as you dont need to start or drive the car. Take 5 mins and ring your tuner and he will be able to clear this up for you...
  7. The tune that was dont for your XCAL1 flash tuner can be put into the new XCAL3 but you will have to get it done by your tuner that should have your tune on file. You can not go to any tuner and grab the tune out of your XCAL1 and put it into a XCAL3 as the system does not let you use it like that. So its a easy process.. Step 1 - call up your tuner say yuo want a new XCAL3 for change over and they will be able to post out a XCAL3 with your tunes that are on your XCAL1 Step 2 - Then with your XCAL3 arrives flash with your XCAL1 your car back to the factory tune (so you can get the rebate) Step 3 - Reflash your car with the new XCAL3 and yuor car will be the same as it was before you started.. It that easy...
  8. In the email as quoted before That was for tuning shops eyes only. This being said, all new tune sales from here on will need to be done on the X3 This email is 18 months old. we were told to sell only XCAL3 flash tuners. If your tuner has sold you a flash tuner and was not a XCAL3 you need to bring this up your tuner. There seem to be a few bad apples in the tuner industry that has burnt customers, lThis can not be controlled by SCT/Herrods so how is it there fault It is ILLEGAL to unlock a unit that hasn’t been as it is not the intended use of the product. In this case, the unit will remain, as it always should have, locked to the car that it is currently until it expires. This means that no boxes will be able to be reset! You can't put a tune in one car, have it unlocked and tune another! Doing so is ILLEGAL! Again another bad apple was doing the wrong thing and we all have to pay for it, Herrods,Tuners and you the customers have to suffer because of other peoples actions. Its been over 2 years since a new XCAL1 flash tuner has been sold in aust, As daniel said before the USA has stopped support of the XCAL1 that's 10 years old now a long time ago and if it was not Rob at Herrods the XCAL1 would have been turned off 18 Mths ago. So the people chasing cheap tunes have been caught out, once again you get what you pay for.....
  9. The ORSM Sticker is a ORSM Ford Cruiers .. its not a tuning shop its a car club... Its running less than 14psi and running stock BOV.. All the work was done at Bluepower...
