  7. Hi fellow SA blokes, newbie here... I have a BA XR6T and the ignition(spring return) has gone on me Apparently only way is to replace whole steering column and ignition switch assembly (which is expensive from Ford). Does anyone know of any good ideas for cheaper fixes or places who can repair mine?? Please help me as I'm having boost withdrawals badly lol
  8. Yeah that's my concern...I can get one form a wrecker for $250 but it could do it again in a couple of months...
  9. Hi Guys, So I have issues with my car starting. When you turn the key on it starts and when you let go of the key it springs back and stops. I have read on the net that it is ignition switch problem and that you need to replace the whole steering column with ignition switch assembly(it is very common with BA's??). I got a quote for the part from Ford and they want around $1200- I'm not exactly thrilled with this. Anyhow, I want to remove it myself and have a look if I can fix it. Here is where I would love some help from fellow enthusiasts, does anyone have a step by step guide on how to remove the steering column/ignition switch assembly?? Also if anyone knows some cheaper solutions to fix the problem and save me from forking out all that money. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
