  3. yeah shes a good fun drive
  4. I get a consistent 8.2 to the 100 measured (8.7 on the dash) between here and newcastle which I do regualy and ive seen mid 20's after at trip to tawonga via my beauty
  5. striping a camry engine the other week, borrowd a set of 12 point TTI sockets off a workmate to save me a trip down the other end of the workshop, rounded off 3 bolts in quick succession, they got given back in a awful hurry!
  6. looks the real deal (same unit at mine)
  7. Do not do the above if you have any respect for your vehicle! ethylene glycol serves 2 purposes, number one, it absorbs oxygen from water - helping prevent corsion, number two, it acts as any anti freeze agent (anywhere in victoria can go below 0 in mid winter, so anti freeze should always be used) redline water wetter isent all its claimed to be, through personal testing on the strip, road and circuit - gains are minimal if any and as for "get the car up to temp, Drop the water out of your cooling system and refill" - big no no, suden change between 100degree water when the fans cut in and your distilled water/coolant at 30 odd degrees can do fantastic things for warping a head or causing a head gasket failure! Best coolant in the buisness is toyota genuine, after stripping two 500,000km+ 80 series land cruiser engines and a 340,000km 1mz all alloy camry engine we've be running on the stuff there entire life to find the block and head in imaculate condion internaly sold me (all cars still had the genuine radiators too!)
  8. I think I just soiled my self
  9. be aware buying snapon from over sea's - the warrenty is void
  10. yes and no to that comment, I rely on my tools day in day out, cant afford the down time from a broken tool, also cant afford an injury to my self if a cheeper tool lets go when tightening or loosening something
  11. this is my baby, filled with all the same branded tools also - been an expensive ever growing habbit, now also has a vice mounted in the back corner
  12. Valvoline Synpower MST 5-30 - Engine Valvoline Maxlife - ATF (ZF 6spd) Valvoline Syngear 75-140 - Diff
  13. yea another vote here for Project Mu stuff, use heaps of there gear and swear by it now
  14. zenetti kaotok's in black - but im biased
  15. any developments? as long as you can prove it wasent water damage, it shouldn't matter as a standard engine should be able to be pinned to the limiter, they were built to do it to an extent, if they realy want to bend you over, go fair trading - have gone this route before successfully - also get a 2nd opinion in writing
  16. all b series are the same I beleive
  17. may have changed for FG, but my BF owners manual says 1600kg limit for xr6t ute (page 222 for anyone that wanta a referance)
  18. its illegal as its not just the towbar that's is the limiting factor of the vehicle, the gvm and gcm are also factors that need to be considered
  19. all xr6t and xr8 utes are only rated to 1600kg auto and manual, anything over that is illegal, can do it yes easy, but if you had an accident (even not at fault) your insurance is void standard xr6 however has a 2300kg towing capability - go figure?
  20. bfII xr6t's and xr8's got the 322's standard dude
  21. mate I fit 4-5 systems a week, might get 1 out of 10 xforce systems that "bolts" on to a satisfactory stadard that id allow out of the workshop, the other 9 all require modifications to fit
  22. oh thank god, someone else ill fitting cheep rubbish - you get what you pay for - xforce is cheep rubbish as for the nizpro - there a tad to drony for my liking, sends you deaf after a few hours driving, and the note is irritating around town
  23. still wouldn't mind knowing, where are you located?
  24. I spoke to our local Valvoline rep on Thursday, who said that the aussie maxlife is the same as the US maxlife dex/merc, he said while the oil meets the required specifications - it hasn't been certified by ford/zf for use under warranty as they want ridiculous amounts of money for the certification which Valvoline refuse to pay (same as castrol) so I will be giving maxlife a trial in my own box when I do trans in a fornight once I get back from holidays!
