  2. All to often it is the inerscent bystander , the family in the other vehicle that is taken out by idiots not just P platers how believe they are the gods gift to driving. I own a T and Superbike and yes I drive them quick from time to time, I'm not the best out there and I know that but I have worked my way up to these vehicles from low performance ones and glad I did. It really is a mental thing and as you all know the faster it goes the further your brain needs to be ahead of the car/bike. Kids have to learn to crawl before they walk and then to run and gain the required skills to do it. Same with cars and bikes , limiting the power to weight of bikes that learners can use has helped cut the toll as has having them do real driver training and you dont hear the motor cyclists complaining but actually supporting these laws. There will always be the ratbags out there but you still have to try and help the rest to stay alive.
  3. I have the luxury pack and love it , just did a 1000k trip and the seats where great as was the split system a/c mine on 20 sons side on 23 both comfy. Go for it.
  4. Argh Foed are fools and they treat us the same. Took it to the dealer today first thing and they said they would investigate could take a while as we have to talk to Melbourne . 2 hours later can I have an update, yes well they would like us to do some tests and as this has never happened before and they may want photos so the turbo will have to come off, sorry but I need the car at 2pm as I have told you and I have told you what is the problem. No melbourne want the turbo sent to them so they can decide what course to take. No way I say let me speek to them , sorry they wont speak to the public. We can book it in for another day but you will have to sign a waiver as the waste gate is stuck fully closed and you will overboost the engine and do damage. Mate I say the waste gate is flopping around and staying open when the engine is running by passing the turbo that's why I have no boost!!!! The mechanic says it looks like we can fit a split pin and it will be right so off comes the exhaust and 9 hours after I handed it over they have fixed it and you were right sir the gate was open and we found the circlip on the engine mount. All I can say is that there mechanics really do not have a very good knowledge of there product. Well at least it goes like a T now.

Went for a trip up to Dubbo on the weekend and the T seemed not to pull as well especially on hills and could not hear her blow off with the gear changes so ask question at dealer and get what you would expect nah we have heard of no problems with them . So under the bonnet I go checking here and there then decide to pull theheat shields off and see if we have a prob with the waste gate , sure enough the circlip thaat holds the actuation rod on the arm is missing and the rod is flopping around driving air instead of the arm. Hope Garrett are not using inferior parts on there turbo's.

    Stone chips

    Guys if you really hate those stone chips then send some of that mod money and put the clear stoneguard protection on the front it does not detract from the look and has stop anymore chips on the front of mine. Just do a search for it on the web to find it dont have anything to do with them so will not spread the name unless you really want to know.

    Hi Guys Visit the Polaris web site and have a look at the film u can have put on the front of the car, looks better than chips all over your beast and does not stand out that much as KEN24T can tell you as he saw it on the cruise we did not so long ago. Iam happy with it as had a wrx that looked so crap with the chips it had all over it. If your close to me then maybe you would like to have a look and make up your own mind. Biggy

Lets not go off half cocked here you always run the risk when you do any mod that the dealer will not warrent the damage caused by that mod, the edit will give people who are not looking at going down the road of phase 3's and the likes to be able to more finely tune the exsisting ecu to get some extra kw's and fuel economy as ford just throw in one tuning map for the type, which can be seen in dyno figures for stock t's and even n/a's with such wide differences in kw's pumped out by them.   12. I would think adding the second CAI would undo the ram effect gained by the SS induction as behind the head light would not have that ram effect happening. SS inductions went to the trouble of having a wide mouth collector and the deflectors to ram as much air into the box and you have negated that by putting a hole in the box so that the ram pressure disapates out of. I was thinking that by having the separate dump pipe system including a good free flow cat and the rest standard then for most how wish not to spend great sums of money could have a eng that would breath that bit better. Most systems allow you to do the rear first but all you get is noise so why not start at the front since the standard system has a reasonable note already. The MRC front pipe into the standard system would be the way to go.? Biggy
  15. Just wondering if anyone makes a down pipe and high flow cat that connects to the standard exhaust? Seems like a way to go if you want to keep the system near to original but free the flow up.Correct me if I am wrong the two original mufflers are straight through. Biggy
  16. Expensive Daewoo V6 turbo ? who knows but if they do then it has only got to be good for us as then Ford then need to improve thier product. As long as the manufactures try to better the other make then we win. When I was looking at leasing this car I was looking at subaru sti, ss bombadore and the xr's (all 3). I did not like the ss rear suspension the sti was not big enough for the kids in the back and the XR looked good and had the better suspension package, It then came down to price and so the T was my choice. So in 4 years I hope both camps have improved thier products thru competition so I may get an even better buy for my money. And anyway why do we worry about the KW figures as most will up them with after market ecu and components to get what you really want anyway. Biggy

Hi everybody, I know everybody suffers from this from time to time but have noticed that when mine starts this noise all I do is will driving slow pull the hand brake lever up and let it go and the noise stops happening, it must have the effect of repositing the brake shoes, try it , it may work for you too. Biggy
  19. Hi Guys you all do relise that turbo timers are illegal as when you park your car you are supposed to to stop the engine and lock the doors. Insurance may take a dime view on these if your car gets stolen. Biggy Ps had a rex for 4 years no timer it had plain bearings ie more suseptable to coking than ball, never had any trouble just drive smart for the last couple of k's or let it idle for a min or so.

Be careful when mixing tolulene, do it in a well ventilated area and wear rubber gloves as I think it is carsenagenic (I think that's how you spell it.) it is also not good for your flex fuel lines and maybe not good with the plastic fuel tank. Would be looking into this before using. Had considered mixing it for the rex when I had it but the amount that you need to add to a tank to get a few extra octane made each tank expensive and there is the hassle of mixing it before adding it to the tank. Just be carefull. Biggy

    Oil Useage

    Hi Everyone just checked my engine oil this arvo and found it below the ok line, the car has 3200klms on it. Is this normal useage during the first few thousand k's it took 1.2 liters to bring back up to full. Anyone else had this in a new T. Thanks in advance. Biggy
  24. Well it looks like doing a 6 speed mod to the T just got easier, but I'm still happy with what I have and in 4 years the Mk11 will be old hat and there should be something much improved. Maybe? Hey the Mk11 does not deminish the car we have now in anyway. I love driving it.
