hi again, just an update for those who might be interested. I've had the car back at the dealership this morning. all they did was update the module, and Bob's your uncle, all is working.

yeah I thought that might be the case. on the work order (receipt) they gave me it states it 'tested ok'. I work in a dealership myself (subaru & mazda) and know that the receipt means sweet f*ck all...

Hey guys n gals, I have an FG T and I've had the iPod integration installed at the local ford dealership today. The steering wheel controls work etc, everything seems fine, except I can't see the track name on my screen (premium sound). when I plug the cable in at first, our iPhone's (both 3GS') screen pops up the message "this device is not compatible, turn on the airplane mode" bullsh*t message, which disappears after a few seconds. But on the car's display it says "not supported". My brother had an FG XR6T too, and he had no problem with his 3G iPhone. I contacted the dealership, who said I should do software updates on our iPhones, which we have done. I've tried my iPod Nano too, same story. Anyone come across this or know of a fix? Any help will be much appreciated. Cam

Sup party people. Brand new to the site, so I thought I'd say a quick hello. I'm not technically an XR6T owner yet, but should pick up my new white FG XR6T very soon. It's got the ZF auto, tint, premium sound etc, and I can't bloody wait! just waiting for the $$ from my GT Liberty (turbo) to come through... I've never had a turbo 6 before, but previous rides are EF Falcon Futura (6 cyl), BA XR6 ute, XY GT replica with a 351 Clevo, and I have an EF XR8 at the moment with a few 'motivators' added to it. I also ride a '08 GSXR-1000, so I'm not new to the speed factor. Current XR8 I live up in townsville north qld, if there's anyone else around these parts, give me a heads up if there's much happening. good to be on the site and I look forward to learning more about these awesome cars!
