ZF serviced yesterday. Annoying cold rpm bounce gone. No fragments found on magnet and fluid was still healthy looking apparently but clearly it needed a change. Lovely and smooth right from cold start now.

Mine spools at idle on cold start program with the turbo side. I mean, really noticeable. If you don't like spooly goodness don't buy one or at a minimum, don't go turbo side. If you want to turn heads though - you'll love it Going under a decent bridge or tunnel, it sounds absolutely awesome together with my 2.5" twin S/S crackling away at WOT. I think for spool noise out of a low mount - nothing comes close.

^^^ Possibly but you don't hear it mentioned much - maybe exhaust valves. I'm just throwing around some ideas. Whether I just oil pump gears and head stud mine or - buy a donor and build it over time. Really, my trans should be first, lol.

You can get a good low k FG N/A runner pretty cheap - like $700. Green tops a little more. I was told they have better valves but if that's not the case you'd just buy the best low k jobbie for a decent starting base. I'm talking for a built engine so rods and pistons are a throw away.

Had a Saturday off for once so got bored and removed and polished the intercooler with my 14yo Son helping which was cool.

Showed up in numbers with our club members at a Beyond Blue charity car show today #proudpresident:)

I've got a bit of a crush on the "Trevor's in the Tree" chick from the aami add. I thought I'd conduct a little poll. Where do you look when you see her in the full length shot? I'll reveal where my eyes go later, lol.

Of note, you will notice a near identical climb then flatten as they build power. In my case, I had a small of creep which Clinton attributes to the Turbosmart actuator. The other car is running a 45mm external Turbosmart gate plumbed to an OEM 1.06 housing. Have heard this from a couple of tuners now. The consensus being, the diaphragms aren't that sensitive and don't work 100% with the factory boost solenoid. I'll be putting this to the test when the car returns for a Garrett 12psi actuator and trim up.
