Have found a pretty tough Capri in Victoria with 393 stroker clevo with all the fruit. C4, 9" etc. But to be honest, I'm leaning towards a 1JZ conversion. My fabricator mate has done three 1JZ's in XP falcons now. Running a C4, he reckons the tunnel and firewall won't need to be modded. They don't in the early coons. Given the weight of the car (should be around 1200kg wet) a hi-lux diff with appropriate centre will probably get the nod. I'd run a 6boost high mount mani and GTX3576R again Wolf V550 ECU and Racepac IQ3 dash in custom facia panel to suit. Half cage with taxi bar for harnesses with a pair of race seats. Custom sheet metal door cards etc - no rear seat. Looking at a roller on Friday or Saturday.

2k for trailer. Seen poo versions go for that without the custom infill panel, tool box or FPV tonneau. This one was built and finished properly including custom width axle so the 9.5" rims fill the guard spot on.

Can't part out as most stock bits gone - including turbo. Gave too many cars away as a young fella because got bored but won't be doing it with this one. I honestly still love it but am keen for a new project. If it doesn't sell I'll just keep improving it.

Whole rig is on gumtree at the moment but will withdraw Sunday week if not sold. Couple of tyre kickers and one half genuine buyer but stupid kiddies that couldn't afford to buy these things in the first place then mod and break sh*t so have to fire sale before repo have fkd the market unfortunately. That and lets face it, resale is poo on these things anyway. I still love the thing so not fussed either way. My main issue is that if I keep it I can see another 5k I want to throw at it, lol. The national mod laws have screwed some combos that were of interest also. My main one was a barra powered (turbo) Capri but no can do on reg. In fact, the rules - despite what some will try and tell you, prevent you from even putting a 289 Windsor in a Capri now! Original weight of car - in heaviest Australian delivered form, must be 1455kg's minimum to enable a 4.0L Turbo Barra to be engineered. 1350kg if you de-stroke to 3.7L. A V6 3000 GT Capri weighed 1075kg so not even close. Yes you can do an N/A barra which would go probably pretty well but that doesn't do it for me. Considered putting an N/A version in then getting rego'd and swap for Turbo but lots of rooting around and car is still illegal.

Scooter gone and I'm now the proud owner of a BA MK2 XL column auto three seater for daily duties. I'm the third owner and it's only done 145k with full history. These things are so cheap to buy now. In appliance white with 16" steelies but...have been given a set of 19" FG Luxo rims which I'll chuck on down the track after two get rash repaired and I scrub the tyres on the stockos. Trailer is for sale. The yoot is also intended as a tow car down the track. Now I haven't broadcast it everywhere but...if someone knocks on my door with 25k I'll hand over the keys to the XR. I love it, it's awesome, but it's a younger persons car now really. I'm looking to build an old schooler with modern mechanicals. Preferably a Capri or XR XY Ute.

I couldn't get mine to make less than 18psi

SSL or all corners but...the tow bar pulled it down a bit (5-8mm) so you'd need to consider that. And 19's.

Seems fine thus far. I cured it with a heat gun prior to fitting. Smelt a bit after heating up again with the manifold but hasn't changed in appearance. Given the stuff can be used on pot belly stoves I think it should go ok on heat shields. If not, I'll get them professionally ceramic coated.
