It's a Pedders kit. The first run had some issues with seals I've been told but the kit has improved. If buying new for what I'm after it would be a no brainer - shockworks. If I could get a s/hand set cheap enough you can't go too wrong with the rears. Even if you just saved the springs and adjustable spring perch, you can run whatever dampeners you want. Will keep looking around. Something will come up.

H&R coils come in one height only which is 355mm so kinda on the mark but...worries me that they don't do fronts specifically for Barra. And at $500 that ain't cheap for springs.

Spewing, missed a set of Tein rear coil overs (no shocks) with spring perch for $150 :(

    Gtx3576R.

Talking from experience, the spool is near identical except the factory huffer falls over pretty quickly. The GTX just keep on pulling hence the 50+ rwkw and 200Nm I gained over the little unit.
  6. Cleaned it up after the poo weather and masked up and painted the rear wheel weights black to match the fronts.
  7. Look for GTX35/76R light take off also

Can't load it on here mate (too old and stupid) but if you youtube GTX35/76R Spool you'll see a little clip I did of the car at idle with a little rev
  9. If I could figure out how to put a youtube clip on here I'd load one I took this arvo. If you search under GTX35/76r Spool you should find it

^^^ are you running the XYZ's mate?
  11. So funny going over this thread. I haven't progressed in two years, lol. My rears have sagged with tow bar supposedly being the cause, but if you speak to suspension shops they'll tell you it makes fek all difference really. As my build thread details, Kings were far less than helpful this week. Conceded that they'd sagged outside of range but refused to fit a new set of SSL unless I bought them - but fitted new SL's free of charge which ended up at 360mm so too high. Ended up with the 'sagged' SSL's back in so back to running 335 - 340mm. Ironically, with the pedders and tow bar, it would be spot on I think but I on sold those springs haha.

Wet roads today and had to take the car. The Ku39's are brilliant in the wet. Extremely happy. Haven't got to check dry weather grip yet. Sooo quiet too.

Old springs back in - ripped up $70. Will let people make their own mind up but this is how it played out. Admitted last week they'd sagged lower than bottom spec - roughly 5mm according to them. Charged me $70 labour and fitted new SL rears FOC to supposedly compensate for tow bar. Car ended up 360mm drivers and 355mm passenger with tow bar - too high. Said car left at 350mm so I sent pic to confirm 360mm. Offered to fit original SSL's back in and we discussed aftermarket spring bases which I'd agreed to pay for. Offered to organise them - said they'd sort it. Got email following day to say decision made to refit original springs FOC but not doing bases? Called in to sort and asked why given springs had sagged can't we just supply new SSL's in the 'upper end' spec and be done with it. Said yes, but as other springs were 'within spec' I'd have to pay for them again. Um, say what? Said why supply new SL's FOC then but now have to pay for SSL? Said should have charged me for them also but tried to help. Said ok, just give me old springs back and I'm out of here. Said no, they'd be down a set of springs. Biggest tell though, admitted they don't do replacements until outside of range which is....+10mm, lol. Did the whole President of car club thing and dropped my Cousins name but still didn't mean poo. Needless to say, I won't be running King springs ever again.

And...couldn't get the Invos in the end so went with the ku39's but went through two sets in 30 minutes. How? Well, because it was a bit of a drive to the shop I pulled over shortly after leaving just to check all was as it should be. Um, we fitted ku31's, lol. So back we went and strip and fit repeat. Tyres are whisper quiet compared to the hideous 595 Evo's and was a wet road tonight. Felt very good. Only criticisms. Put the tape across them are they're actually closer to 265mm. The Evos were actually generous at near 280mm. The rim protector also is near non-existent. Other than that, very happy. Can't believe how much the noise is reduced.

^^ exactly. What's a bit annoying is that they said it left at 350mm in an email today. Well...the tape measure doesn't lie. So have sent them the pic and will see what tomorrow brings. SL's are meant to be 350mm with no tow pack and drop to roughly SSL height with one so how did we end up with 360 - 355? My other SSL's ended up 335 - 330 which is around SSSL which again, they attributed to the tow pack. I just think they don't like to admit they sag to that degree and not everyone is an anal *beep* like me and measures the car from time to time. If true via their own specs, SL with tow pack should have given me 345 which is what I'm after not 360. Looks like a fkn 4WD.

That's the way I'll think I'll go too. Went on a decent run yesterday and today through some twisty bumpy stuff and measured it tonight and hasn't budged. Basically it came up 20mm which is 10mm too far.

They can reset them I believe. Either way will get the height right.
