  1. Reckon height is just about right - maybe 5mm -10mm lower. What is it centre hub to guard?
  2. ^^^ did u sell yours with the car Stripes?
  3. Renault piss me off. Fkn Ferrari have gone past them now. Daniel Riccardo needs to NOT follow Mark Webber's lead. That is, don't waste your time with teams that don't give you the best equipment. Webber endured the worst luck but didn't get a decent car until basically the end of his career and had a khunt of a team mate. Redbull need to fk Renault off. Riccardo will be lucky to get a podium this year. The Mercedes is like 2-3 seconds faster. Ridiculous.
  4. Haha. I've moved on most of the OEM parts like taxi brakes etc. She'd be sold as a complete rig with matching FG tub trailer and 2 QIK 6 plates.
  5. Old ones more than new but FG not excluded either. They are a great value performance car - we all know that. The downside is, some of the dropkicks that should keep their ricers are jumping on the bandwagon. They wind the wick up and break everything of course, then offload the car for next to nothing because they need a 'reliable' daily. This is being repeated over and over at the moment. In my opinion, it forms part of the reason why the used XR6 market is destroyed. I'd move mine on if I could, but I'd get murdered like everyone else. So you either take a huge hit or keep it. Forgetting the mods I've done, to possibly tear up 20k is the worst deprecation I've experienced with any car I've owned. It just pisses me that I'm kind of trapped.
  6. It is just me or does anyone else think too many losers are buying turbo falcons?
  7. I'd be talking to Tony Bellert and get him to build you an engine to suit your budget Gunna.

Been doing a bit of research on the upgraded in tanks and have decided to do an upgrade on the reg. Herrod now do a hi-flow unit to match their pump so am going with that. This will allow the correct pressures to be set without trying to tune around it.
  9. I'm the opposite though. Hoping the rear will come up a solid 5mm with the new bushes and new spring mounts (whiteline probably)
  10. 335mm is far from ideal for suspension anyway but does look good.
  11. Had a quick look at mine this arvo with car on the ground so bit hard to get a good look. However, the bolts are sitting close to the bottom and I could fit my finger in the open void at the top. Didn't feel torn but I'm thinking they've sagged a bit. I'm wondering if anyone has noticed an increased ride height with new bushes? I've blamed my SSL springs but maybe this isn't helping either.
  12. Ideal mod list and good stopping point in my books. Go more with bigger turbo etc and it can cause lots of heartache.

How much difference did the control blade bushes make and did you go OEM or aftermarket?

Rear shot. That's at about 345 hub to guard. Passenger side is 340. About 3/4 fuel load.

Drivers rear is ok mate but passenger side bit lower. Whiteline do spring seats which are 6mm thick so I'm going to throw one each side. $27 each. The factory rubber insulators are basically flat (2mm) and probably squashed to near nothing over time. So what ever it works out at will do until maybe some coil overs come up cheap.

All I know is the GTX is a complete engineered high performance turbo - not a hybrid. To put a new wheel on a GT that's done decent k's already is just asking for trouble imo and at $1000 for that, not a viable option. His new one at $1200 is still a bored out job in a .50 cover with 3" front and no anti-surge. It's just not enough of a gap to not go out of the box brand new GTX with full warranty. I paid $175 more.

It's lively down low but really boogies from 2500. Third gear it just pulls a lot harder than the little huffer did at wot. Mid range is exceptional. That 80 - 120+kph zone is ballistic. Honestly, that's where I enjoy this turbo the most. At that road speed it has no real lag. Just stand on it and hang on. The MTA750 pulled a bit harder at the top end but it had lag when you punched it at the same speeds and worse from rest. It felt asthmatic by comparison. Kinda pre season training carrying a few kegs vs trim and match fit, lol. As has been said many times - horses for courses. I'm still very happy with this turbo.

Tein definitely no - tried today. Shockworks not sure yet. Worse case I'll just run the 10mm superpro spring seats but they're bloody expensive for what they are - like $150. Can get bloody new springs for that but no guarantee of height of course.

1k is with your old core and quick spin up - she'll be right deal. I know plenty of GT's that have died jamming E85 into 'em little own a billet wheel with same bearing pack. $1200 for new but...still 3" front hybrid. $1350 gets you out of the box new GTX with 4" front and anti-surge. No brainer imo.

Close but no cigar. You need the shortened springs to go with the spring perches to suit mate. I've been told it's unlikely the XA pedders will wind up to 350mm at full adjustment. Would think even more unlikely with XYZ's but will ask tomorrow. Definitely shockworks do and I believe Teins as well. Both of these are not designed to slam the car. I'm not talking about big margins. The car has basically dropped 7-8mm on the passenger side compared to drivers. The only corner on the money is drivers front which is bang on 350mm hub to guard.
