Yeh looking at getting Dunlop sport maxx tt in the 255's.

Will they fit on standard rims? Not too wide?

I want to put 255/40/17's on my standard xr6t rims, my suspension is standard, will they rub or cause problems? I want to go wider so I get more rubber on the ground but can't afford new rims.

Looking at buying an ECU Data Scan device (http://www.ecudatascan.com.au) Looks great, a mate has one in his liberty, wanted to get one for my BF Series 1 (Feb-2006) Just wondering if anyone has one or has used one on a BF?? I Would consider doing a group by if we can get a better deal this way, but only if there is enough interest here. What do you all think? Will it work on a BF-I?

Yeh noticed today driving around in 32 deg humid air, the car felt like crap, I bet the I/C was real hot and actually heating the air instead of cooling it lol.

Bugger was hoping that I had pushed my pump down too far and that's why it was whining, so your telling us that it's normal to sound like that!? Maybe I will dynamat the floor in the back to dampen the sound in the cabin. Any other suggestions to get rid of the noise? Even the woman noticed it and complained!

I fitted one of these and the damn thing leaks from the grub screws that block off the unused ports, anyone else have this trouble? guessing I will have to take it off at the next oil change and loctite the grub screws or sumthin to stop the leak!

How soon are we talking here, as I have a 4" Nizpro intake coming this week and would like to fit it as soon as I can! Who made the kit, do you know?

Yeh found those ones, not real keen on it myself, only really suits a gel battery too.

And as I said, can only find kits that suit gel battery or come WITH a battery, called em and they don't sell without battery.

Ok so I want to move the battery to the passenger side of the engine bay (BF XR6T) (Where the factory air box was) Who sells a kit so I can still use my almost brand new wet cell battery? Don't want to goto an odyssey/gel cell and I can only find kits with gel battery's or intake and gel batt! Any help would be great!

I thought the XCAL2 could flash AU series as well so figured it was able to do diags too.

Thanks for the thought dude, was thinking more of people who have gone to the X3 (Not by choice naturally) Can the Xcal2 be used on vehicles other than the VIN it's programmed too? (Only to do diagnostics)

Can the Xcal 1 or 2 be used purely for DTC trouble code checking/clearing? Would the box need to be set to the vehicles VIN to do this? I have no interest in tuning the car, just need to check codes/sensors in a mates AU V8. (Not OBDII so can't by an eBay special) If this will do the job, who wants to part with thier lovely "useless" xcal 1/2 for this basic task?

So no one can tune with them anymore? Is that what you are saying? I thought they had 5 lives?

Ok, what do all the fordxr6turbo peoples think, a used once CAPA Ford Flasher is worth? You know, the older style with no fancy lcd display. Thinking, no logging ability or MIL checking so maybe $200 tops? What do you all think?

Ok so I have a BF Mk1 XR6T, with premium sound & dual climate. What do I need to install the factory Sat Nav system? I see in the classifieds someone is selling the DVD drive unit, but do I need anything else or will this plug & play? (Obviously will have to get a remote somewhere for it) DVD Unit for sale

Thanks Ratter, is there any difference in the tune quality or ability between the X3 and the SCT (Capa) box? I know the X3 can pull DTC codes and the user can make changes to the tune with the unit, but as far as being tuned on the dyno is there any diff between them?

So for instance, I buy a Capa flash tuner off eBay, has only been used on one car and that car has been returned to factory tune, what has to be done so I can use this tuner on my own car? Can I download generic tunes for it? Who supports the Capa tuner now? Thanks,

Thanks for a quick answer, no mods just installed a pod filter and disabled the BOV today. Looks like it has been leaking for a while. Might change the hose as it looks pretty crappy.

Ok, just got my first BF XR6T (WooHoo!!), and was doing a thorough check of everything and noticed that the solid lines feeding the turbo with engine coolant has a short (10cm) rubber hose joint just to the right of the motor, just before it joins onto the larger pipe from the thermostat housing. (Picture attached) My question is, is this standard or has something happened here? ie a break that has been repaired? It is also leaking from this join (white spalsh marks around it). Not sure if this is normal (the rubber hose bit, not the leak). Thanks in advance!
