  1. Yeah, I reckon starting with the cheaper components and moving up will be the way to go. As suggested, a throttle body clean, O2 sensor. If that fails, then plugs and coil.
  2. Thanks for your help, I've only owned it for a couple of years, use it rarely and I suppose will have pick through the faults one at a time. Regards, Tony.
  3. Thanks Yoshi & Dave, did the coil/plugs replacement fix an idle problem or was it an acceleration problem?? Thanks, Tony.
  4. I need help from all you "gurus" with a rough idle & stalling at idle problem. I have a BA turbo ute, stock as a rock & came on the forum a few month back with the same problem and it was suggested a new TPS would sort the problem. I replaced it & really shouldn't have touched a spanner on that particular day (complete clusterf**k day), anyway it didn't sort the problem and it has been suggested an Oxygen Sensor is what's needed. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance. Tony.
  5. Thanks very much for your replies and will hunt down a TPS. Regards, Tony.
  6. Hi to all and I'm a new member. I have a "stock as a rock" XR6T manual ute 2002 model and the engine idles rough and stalls at lights/intersections. Embarassing and a p*ss off !! Can anyone advise a fix as have had varying reports from different mechanics and don't have an endless bank balance for a trial & error session. Thanks in advance Tony.
