  1. Will the harrop brakes fit behind those wheels?? Great looking car though I have been tossing up the idea about painting my wheels black also.
  2. Pwr requires no cutting what so ever have fitted one to my own fg and to a mates and it takes longer to get the bar off than to fit the cooler!
  3. haha I sell Holdens... fg ex copper turbo
  4. I have a 9 inch wheels all round and have 285's on the rear and thy dont rub what so ever! I was looking at getting enkeis and they said the 10 will fit on a fg
  5. auto??
  6. I would rather do the flapper mod! you want to control boost before you put on a dump pipe
  7. Yeah I was thinking the same thing about just leaving it in drive...hmmm maybe when I fit the cooler ill try it! I totally agree 11.9-11.8 would see me out as well! cant complain with that kinda times for a car that you drive to the track with. Yeah I will be getting piping! but I was watching the boost guage all the way down the quarter and it was holding 15psi all the way down beautifully
  8. im thinking they arent anygood full stop... even standard on repeated dyno runs they struggle
  9. yeah I took you advice and drove it in performance mode as well and I think mine might of just touched on the limiter as well but was thinking that would it be better to short shift 2nd to 3rd and to 4th ? I reckon the auto wants to rev it a little to hard and it would keep it in the meat of the torque? Also I reckon std cooler is probably hurting it at the end of the track..cant wait for the coooler to arrive and perhaps relocate that battery and see what happens.. im thinking std coolers would be hurting mph ..
  10. 08 fg xr6 turbo 60' 1.953 1/8 8.035 1/4 12.362 mph 114 cat, injectors, v8 airbox 300rwkw 285 35 18 sumitomos htrz's (useless street tyres) thank you VHT:-)
  11. The Sumitomos did very well considering on the street they are useless but was very conservative with the launch stalling up to about 2000rpm.. How much did you stall your one up to?
  12. I think the one your thinking of had semi slicks on it... did anyone see a time?
  13. The f6 is amazing!!!! 123mph..there were purpose built drag cars on the infield that couldnt manage that mph hahaha
  14. Well took the girl to calder tonight to see what kind of time she is capable of and I must say im pretty pleased to say that I managed a 12.3 @ 114mph with a 2.0 60ft .. 08 fg xr6t injectors cat and v8 airbox Tuned by Bullit Performance Racing My mates fg f6 was most impressive with a 11.7 @ 123 mph and 2.0 60ft nizpro enhanced making 350rwkw still with standard f6 airbox... Note both cars in complete street trim spare in the boot and all!!!
  15. I have a 9 inch rim with a 35 off set and 285's 10inch rim will fit no dramas and I reckon a 295 is possible with a slight pump perhaps 305! I am sure I have heard of guys getting 295's under with no probs
  16. you guys are trippers!!! mine had an auto issue and it took me 4 visits to ford and twice the zf man from ford came to check it as well! each time I flashed it back to standard the day before taking it in and I got a new auto and diff bushes.
  17. Just want to give Matt a big thanks for his efforts today tuning my car.. I had installed some 60 pound dekas and a cat and with Matts wizardry it cracked the 300rwkw mark with a brand new set of 285 rubber on the back that im sure is robbing some bragging wrights!! I managed to miss the rain only just tonight and I was very very impressed with the performace well the amount I could put to the ground anyway:-) Once again Thanks Matt.. great work! Highly reccomended
  18. redheads?
  19. guys I have a 18* 9 inch rim and I have 285 on them no rubbing barely any bulging at all!! it looks like how it should from behind now.. I cant believe how skinny 245 looks in comparison.... I think the offset plays a big part asi still have more room on the inside and I am confident a 295 would fit but I would want a 9.5 or 10 inch rim for that.
  20. I have greman made ones and I have only done one proper skid on them and they are stuffed after 7000kms.... great tyre but doesnt last
  21. sirxr6t im afraid your wrong I have compared mine with my mate that bough a nsw one and the calipers are different and the discs are bigger!!! same setup as a F6!!
  22. my 2 cents worth.... I have an 08 fg ex copper and mine was doing the same thing ..shunt into first and the change from 3rd into 4th under load didnt feel rite like the other gears.. I complained to ford and they said diff bushes are stuffed we need to change them..ok done I got back to ford cause still doing same thing hmmmmm we need to get the zf specialist out to have a look...ok done Zf specialist reflashes and says software was old version drive this for 500kms let me know ..ok done same sh*t I go back again ... this time im told that the zf speacilist reckons they have an updated software ? yeah rite reflash again ...same sh*t Then zf specialist admits that the computer is bringing up signs of auto having excessive wear on the clutches so we need to put new auto in ....DONE Got car back today with new Auto...wow what a diffence.. When they did it they also had to replace transmision mount rubber apparently it was completely flogged out and fell on the floor when they were removing the box and im thinking perhaps that could be contributing to the thump we all commonly have when coming to a stop... so maybe if your auto is fine and it just has the thump check the tranny mount bush. all in all it took some patience and some abusing to the dealer but they did cough up a new auto! Thanks Ford:-) now to load my tune back in hehehe
  23. To be honest I had the same problem in mine and I have put bilsteins in H&R springs bushes done by ford and now she just skates without any axle hop...
