So based on the "only if you own it logic" how can anyone bag the FGX? I gave my honest opinion (which was apparently the wrong thing to do) and it's only been met with childish retorts...I'm still yet to understand what facts I've fcked up. Kimbo I think both of your assumptions are pretty much on the money. Ford Aus seem to have given up years ago and were willing the falcon to die. It's just plain sad.

What about the interior is lacking though Plugger? Not enough buttons? Too boring looking? I totally understand that different things float different boats, but I'm struggling to understand how the FG dash/interior isn't good enough? Are you coming from a functionality stance or just that its look should completely change purely for the sake of it? But yeah either way it's farkin sad that what we've got won't continue. In bang for buck terms both the falcon and Late model camira platforms are bloody spectacular, safe and relatively fuel efficient. If only everyone could get out of the mindset that an imported product is automatically superior then we could probably have local products with all the fancy 'euro' gizmos. Value is a very subjective thing. To me I value comfort, performance & handling over anything else when comparing the two. I've had the displeasure of driving a VF for an extended period and couldn't wait to get out of the fckn thing. Over complicated dash with an unresponsive slow clumsy interface, buttons and switches in places that don't make sense, massive pillars that necessitate to need for blind spot warnings and self-parking because you can't actually see your surroundings, and a stupid parkbrake that is more of a hindrance than anything because it's not obvious when it's set like the presence of an actual lever operated brake (procedure is engage transmission and hit the go pedal, car won't move realise handbrake is still on, press handbrake button, get warning on dash that you can't turn the handbrake off without your foot on the brake pedal, foot on brake, press handbrake button again, curse the wonderful technology, drive off after waiting a bit longer as you've now missed the gap in traffic ) Yeah it has heaps of cool boy-racer inspired gadgets but I'll pass and would actively avoid a Falcon if the followed the same path. A Prius? I'm guessing there's a point in there somewhere but I can't really see it.

Depends how many beer tokens you want to throw away Pete as there's a few options on Hamilton. Qualia is the ducks nuts, voted best resort in the world but you pay for the privilege. Hamilton is also the only island with a commercial airport and they do direct flights from Sydney, everywhere else will involve a transfer or three between plane/taxi/bus/boat. The southern-most islands on the barrier reef are off Gladstone so if that's what you're after you'll need to aim higher up the coast than Fraser Island, but Kingfisher is a pretty awesome spot if you just want to chill and aren't interested in finding nemo.

Haha someone may have lost iTunes recently...couldn't find the farkin desktop shortcut because the peanuts made it a different colour. On that note if you've got all your music in iTunes and want it on your android without redoing all your farkin playlists, checkout the iSyncr app. Allows you to sync your music (selected playlists/albums/artists/podcasts/whole lot) over wifi or usb. Cost $5 after the trial period but well worth it. Great for using the iPod on the car because it's still the best option there but having the same music synced on android devices too.

Dirty fckers. I've been with AAMI since my first vehicle and they've been brilliant, now on the highest whatever rating with free rental car and windscreen etc. so don't really want to change. Think my policy renewal is next month so will soon find out. Problem is Suncorp own a heap of them now (AAMI included) so they're all the same.

Heaps of great roads around the Gold Coast hinterland. Springbrook Mountain (something like this ) or Mount Tamborine would be a good start. Excellent timing there Corzza Hope all is OK Fluffa
