  1. Driving up to the olds this arvo, I stopped at a really nice lookout because why not. Out of luck there was a young bloke there out for a ride that does a bit of amateur photography and loves his cars, asked to take a few photos. After owning the ute for 6 and a half years these are the some of it's first proper shots taken with a real camera and someone that knows what they're doing:) thank you.
  2. I blocked the factory bov. wow. Sounds funny but not sure how people can drive around with it 24/7
  3. So I've just pulled my stick out to suss it all and I see the stick holes are heaps bigger than the base top holes. You said you used bushed steel to fill it up? Keen to give it a go
  4. I'd absolutely go a single 60mm over 2 gates. less headache if you ever have to pull them off for any reason, not much room there
  5. An admin should move this to the 500kw section. . .
  6. it's a Galaxy Tab S with the Torque App tied to my gauge holder haha. Is quite handy!
  7. come on man auto vs manual haha! I had no traction until 4th :( Fortunately he is out in the sticks a bit so mostly all highway stuff, just got the right revs and shifted gear
  8. Short Vid up against a SC XR8
  9. I went to Powercruise 56 on the wknd. Mixed emotions with the event but I'm glad I went. I managed to do this sunday morning during a cruise session. Snapped 4 of the 6 flywheel bolts. Lost the clutch, it was making a horrible grinding noise but managed to drive it 100km without a clutch back to the old mans shed to pull the box and and see what I'd done. Ordered new bolts and should be back together by the weekend
  10. This Falcon is my mates, makes around 510/520kw on 98 and that GTX45
  11. on second thoughts, it could be a 1.01, will have to check. I did see a boost graph at the workshop but don't have it on me, I can ask if you'd like to see it
  12. It'd be phase then ralph, exhaust side. It was just rattling around in its housing. I'm not sure I'd ever need more power now, the 6466 must almost be at its hp limit and the clutch would be the next thing to break
  13. No videos that I am aware of, it's an earful with the 4" exhaust now and the cams really compliment the whole package. I'll see what I can film for you guys on the wknd
  14. Thanks fellas. It has still kept it's manners but flicks on like a light switch. A huge thanks to TBRE and Real Dyno Performance for the work they've done for me, I'm very happy with it all. It was the bank 2 cam sensor, it sits in the front of the engine near the first cylinder coil.
  15. I got the ute Back from Real Dyno this arvo. It is scary to drive now :D 560rwkw & 1400nm @ 22psi on e85
  16. So it looks like the problem may be sorted. I went round to see Tony Bellert this morning for him to check the cams and timing. spot on. However. . . We investigated that P1386 code and it pointed to the exhaust cam so we pulled out the Cam sensor for a look and the bloody thing was all but in two pieces. We replaced it and he checked a few other things which were all spot on. Started it all up and it idles well now, no fault codes after 200km of driving and no more missing at cruise.
  17. Yeha RDP have done a fair few with Cams from Tony, I don't question their ability to tune. I do however have a fault code P1386 "Camshaft Position timing Over Advanced (see bank 2) (seeP0021) so will be checking to see if the timing chain has jumped teeth
  18. I had assumed so as I've been driving around the past 18months and 20,000km without a melted engine but unsure whether or not the last Workshop done a bunch of back to back runs for it to rear it's head. Looking at a video of the monitor while it was doing a run getting tuned last year there was a small blip that looked like the start of the leaning problem but it was the last run and come off the dyno straight after. . . it's doing my head in
  19. I hope not . . . fpr 1200 with twin 460's in surge and a gs294 in standard cradle
  20. I'll pass the message on, it goes back on Wednesday to try again. I had a new set of bosch 1250's in for the tune and even put the id1000's back in with standard rail but both instances it kept happening. Other things I forgot to mention is a huge miss while cruising/light throttle, almost feels like a complete revolution missing, big jerk and won't idle, goes to about 1500rpm down to 500 then to 1500 ish again then 300rpm then either stalls or engine light comes on and forces engine shut down. every time. thinking I might put a set of standard cams in as well to see if it helps
  21. 02 sensor was swapped out as well, only seems to happen when the engine is hot, it was only noticed it ran lean when doing 3/4/5runs back to back. Initially we thought it was ECU/electrical but now leaning towards mechanical. Fuel pressures are spot on also.
  22. So I'm having a few issues with the ute. . . . RDP had the ute for around 3 weeks to trouble shoot what was going on but came up with no conclusion. I can't thank them enough for persevering and looking after me the best they could. What seems to happen is the car leans out worse and worse after every consecutive back to back run. Just about every sensor was replaced, throttle bodies, fuel rail, injectors, surge tank, hours and hours of data logging with no fault coming up. It makes good power through the range, and doesn't lean out on a power run but when it's running a bit warmer after back to backs it goes out of control but comes back to good afr's by limiter. . . Open to suggestions
  23. RDP up at Redcliffe, Seems there may be a problem with my ecu
