I just got back from a 2 week trip down nowra way. The ute done about 2500km there and back, averaged 10.2L/100km (98) using fuel receipts and odo. Very happy.

Stick was still too high so I cut 20mm off it and now it sits more how it did factory. happy

After the drags I had a horrible noise and vibration coming from under the car. Turned out to be the center cv in the tail shaft was cactus. After stuffing around finding out what to replace it with it turns out that Malwood use bseries Pursuit/GT spline stubs as they're a bit bigger/stronger than the turbo stuff (still 28 spline). Got a new CV from Hardy Spicer for $350 :/ malwood wanted $495 Silly me didn't mark the shaft when I pulled it apart either and funneling my bank account towards other projects I didn't get it rebalanced, the result is a slight vibration over 120kph. Also finally got round to putting the gear shifter surround back on. Been racking my brains since doing the conversion for a simple way of doing it. Ended up (getting the brother in-law) cutting and welding it today to make it work. Turned out pretty good I didn't take a phot of the finished project as I was ina hurry to make sure it fitted but basically welded that rectangle 90 degrees to hot it was so that it would go on the tr6060 shifter mount.

I know of a gtx55 going on a 3.7L

That's the rdp tune that made 560kw on their dyno. I tried the fpt but I could feel it not pulling in 3rd n 4th like it should. Checked log abd cam timing showed up like it did on the dyno which we thought was due to valve slri ga not jeeping up with the agressive boost we put into it. Happy with it, will try again when new springs are fitted andtailshaft is sorted
-
So I went out to Willowbank last night. Got 5 runs in. Managed a best of 12.665 at 127.7mph. I can't seem to get it off the line aggressively but that's all me not wanting to break something. Tailshaft Cv is gone after last night lol

My setup I built Jan 15 with a i7 5820k, X99 Deluxe, 16gb ddr4, gtx970ssc and 2x250gb 830pro's. Edging towards getting a 1070 some time soon as I have a 1440p monitor and the 970 struggles a bit. Would love to dabble in making my own water cooling loop like that ^^

Replaced the front lower ball joints and re greased all the bushes and re fitted the front and rear sway bars over the the weekend. Was in a desperate need to be done and it was such a simple job! No more squeaks from the front end and now I can get a wheel alignment done
-
the plan was to use them as skid tires with a video for the boys but the tire guy said that it wouldn't be a good idea with how buggered it was.
-
I had the front wheels replaced the other day due to the passenger side front having a split in the wall (first pic). I never took much notice of it but was warned to change them as bigger problems can arise. So I did. Very glad I did! Apparently from a a combo of low tire pressure, federal tires and a pot hole. Inside of the rim I never saw. Also found the drivers side lower control arm ball join has had it so I'll pull out both sides, check the bushes (nolathane) and re- grease it all so she will be like new again.

Will look at re-doing catch can this week. The cooler I got off a bloke in vic last year, could have had a bit of oil in it from previous owner although the colour of it to me looks as if it's from my engine and running e85? Other than that it's very healthy sounding and putting up good numbers.
-
No video's, will get a good one when we have a good clean run Righteo, so plumb it back into the plenum and airbox with catch can acting as inline filter?
-
I took the ute to Forced Performance & Tuning today for Jamie to do a big e85 tune for me. The end result was 583rwkw at a bit more than 24si. mid range power sky rocketed with 24psi being made at 3000rpm. What stopped us from reaching 600kw was the valve springs not being up to the task. Having 40,000km on the engine now I'll swap them out for a new set next week and squeeze a bit more out of the P6466.
-
Both cover fittings go to a single baffled can with a vta *the last time I checked the plenum there was no where near as much oil :/
-
I gave the plenum a clean today. Took me by surprise how dirty it was, as I run a catch can, I thought this wouldn't happen anymore?
-
I bought it as a roller 2 years ago and we put it all the bits in it to get it going again. Forced Performance Tuned it

The brothers bf sedan, testing out a zf tune. Makes about 425rwkw on e85 with a gt3540. The turbo whistle is. . .unique?
-
My brother had his car tuned (was GUNFPV - Tony's black bseries) It made 425kw on 19psi, e85, gt3540 and zf. Very happy camper

Thanks mate, I draw my inspiration from everyone elses hard work haha. I honestly couldn't tell you, I got it as a kit from Golbeys with 60mm gate and highmount which came in around $5k I think they could be around the $2500 mark? I do think the key to looking after them is the oil feed/return. Best mod done to the engine was welding a speed flow fitting to it for turbo oil return. never leaks no threaded bolt hole issues.

I finally got around to getting the roof lining re-done. I took it out myself (10min job0 and took it to a retrimmer who done it for $90. I decided to go with black because all the white trim in the ute got filthy and black may hide it better haha! edit: I grabbed a can of black plastidip to paint pillars and stuff, worked 100% Ran out though so will get another can or two and do side pillars, light and sun visors. Also got the manifold and turbo housing re-surfaced. Kyle at 6boost done it for me and it's now 100% again. The middle divider had sunk and that cause the gasket to blow out. Apparently the cause of this is the tune. It was either too much boost not enough timing or too much timing not enough boost that causes the exhaust gas to be too hot and it f$cks the metal. The more you know. Also, 40,000km on the P6466 and look how neat it still is. Precision #1 My ghetto crane to hold the dump up while I pulled out the highmount, Oh and one more photo from torque time
-
about 37,000km now. Car feels fantastic still. Only gripe is I think either the highmount flange or rear housing flange is warped and I have exhaust leaking there. Disappears when the cars 100% hot but I can fuel up, pay and get back in the car and it leaks until 1km up the road :/ Wondering if it's because I had that beanie on for a long time and the heat it traps eventually buggered it up? Don't really want to pull it off and machine but will if it fixes it. Oh and the 12month old leaf springs I have, the drivers side has decided to go inverted so I think it might be time for a 5link setup after christmas
-
Yeah and no. I think we had 3ish runs but I don't think they were "clean". Also he was zf and bloody quick
-
Oh right? I have no idea then. Too many kw's lol
