  1. Sent the car back to Jamie this arvo. Went for another couple of runs in the cooler weather. Came out with just a touch under 380rwkw, made heaps more top end power apparently, a much nicer power curve from 2000rpm and the bad. . . It's not holding boost like it did the other week. Down to a few things but I'd say a GTX35/82r is coming from santa this christmas :D Thanks very much for your persistence and quality work FPT!
  2. Turbo not holding boost :/ only thing holding me back
  3. Malwood option 3+. I believe it fits in the t-5 as well as the t-56. If I were you I'd set your mod money aside, buy the t-56 and go from there. Mal also does t-56 boxes for around $4k ish, then $1800 for clutch. gets expensive but is the better way to go
  4. It will cost a lot more then $5k. believe me, I've done it
  5. Yeah can't say a bad word against him. Always manages to find time to help me out with the little things
  6. Think of the children !
  7. A touch under $3k. Mal has assured me it's the goods
  8. Not anymore, picking one up tomorrow. . Why couldn't you have told me a few months ago lol Have a bit of time so I'll throw up some of the surgery photo's NA in all it's glory & the day I got it Half way through Cutting it out it rained :/ The end prodcut The last of the car, pretty well stripped haha In the CMS carpark hooking up the IC etc. An the Finished product getting tuned Picked up the diff from Malwood's today. M86 housing, new 3.73 gears, True-Track, two piece shaft that's been beefed up a little bit. Will be good to finally be able to give it a thrash :D
  9. In-tank pumps are generally a direct replacement of the standard pump where by it will only Increase LpH. I have a walbro Gss 292 or 294? that is rated to 275/300LpH and I'm running 360rwkw without a problem. A surge tank in any case would be ideal but for a daily driver with the occasional squirt up the road, an in-tank pump will be fine for your fueling requirements. ** oh and I can hear my pump on occasion too, especially when it primes before I start the car
  10. My brother picked the ute up on friday from the suspension place. Came to $1100 with a bit of other work done to the front end eg. bushes. So am happy with that. Haven't had a chance to try it out though but will be wicked I'd imagine :D
  11. input shaft? ZF tune?
  12. A few updates - The utes in at a suspension place getting bilsteins put in along with new bushes and things that are worn out. Tomorrow arvo it'll get dropped off at FPT to get the plenum installed and 1000cc injectors. And also tomorrow getting the rims wrapped in some rubber so should have some pics of them on the car by the weekend oh and that diff from Mal Woods is ready to pick up at the end of this week - M86 housing, true track, 3.73 gears and standard two piece shaft (he has no chrome molley atm) A few vids made last month by my brother - no laws were broken don't be a hate about the vid names, brother was being a smart ass New shoes :D Needs a cut & polish
  13. ^^^this is true . . . however, in the case of a surge tank I don't believe dollar value on your time matters so much as dollar value of a PW/Plazmaman kit. Don't get me wrong, laser etching is sweet but not when it's under the passenger side footwell . . . On another note, who has a rough build plan of a surge tank haha?
  14. It's a BA so who knows how many km's it's done. Does it/how long has it had an aftermarket oil filter line on it. You would want to make sure the tune is tip top (not saying it won't be) but with 19psi of air getting sucked in the timing/weather/heat/ a lot of things will want to be bloody right. again, not saying they wont be, only going of things I've read (not the greatest thing to back me up haha) But if none of that then can you afford to fork out a few $k for a new turbo if it dies? j.s Just Saying
  15. I'd think new turbo or bigger injectors to run e85? like I said, I run 17psi to get 480, depending on your turbo/tune, you would need another 1-2 pound to get there and I wouldn't be comfortable smashing 19psi all day everyday on a gt35/40 just my opinion
  16. I make 480+Rwhp with my mods in sig
  17. surely it's cheaper and wouldn't be too difficult to fab one up yourself (assuming you can weld)?
  18. Horrible quality but proof :D Ute goes in week after next to put plenum on and re-tune. Still waiting on malwoods for a diff & shaft ;/
  19. 220rwkw seems about average? some freaks/lemons about though?
  20. Thanks very much mate, I think I will go the Bilstein's assuming I can get them at a local dealer (pedders)
  21. Just wanting to change the fronts as one is busted - I'll get it dropped in some time this week and let you all know what I went with. thank you
  22. Thanks for your replies! It's a ute so can't really do much about the back leafs :/ Will have to suss out some standard springs - would defo like to go with the Billies although if the monroes are considerably cheaper I'll grab them
  23. Can I get bilsteins from any decent suspension shop? Probably a job I'll leave to the experts. reckon springs should get changed?
  24. Hey all, I've recent found that my passenger side front shock has busted (leaking oil and sagging). I'm sure they are just standard shocks with kingspring Sssl's or ssl's. . I've had a bit of a search on here and google but everything seems to be about Coil overs or topics a few years old. What I'm after is maybe lift the front an inch (sick to death of scraping) and a better ride. Would like to suss out bilsteins with new springs or whatever combo you guys can recommend. Keeping it under $1k would be good too haha. Just the fronts need to be done Opinions are very much appreciated, thanks :D
