  2. gen 2, JB, 1.01 rear housing with a -10AN drain
  3. Thanks fellas. Pretty happy with it the past 4 years. It's had a few minor issues along the way but it's all come from modifying it The little 6466 is still hooking along well so have a bit of faith in the precision products :D
  4. I had a fair bit of time off over Christmas so I decided to pull the engine out and fix a few oil leaks it had and get the engine looked at by Tony Bellert. He was pretty happy with it all after doing close to 60,000km over the nearly 4years I've been driving it. He replaced the bottom end bearings and I put in a new set of valve springs. Dropped it off at FPT today for a touch-up tune and it made a health 565rwkw on 22/23psi with the turbo having nothing else to give up top. The last few months I've had the bonnet painted (finally), rear muffler put on and driving the thing permanently on e85.
  5. thought I recognised this car. You're an AJ
  6. Turned out to be a really easy fix. The plastic T piece broke off. It made one hell of a smoke show!
  7. So the ute just split a heater hose. How sh*t of a job is it to bypass so I can drive it?
  8. So it seems that it was possibly a battery issue I had. The negative terminal was loose/buggered and the battery needed a good trickle charge for 24hrs. She starts beautifully now and in this cold weather starts without hesitation
  9. Anyone excited for Vega next month? If it performs I'll grab it on launch and do my valve springs/retune later in the year ?
  10. You are correct. The process sounds quite stream lined and smart. It's expensive though.
  11. I called up a place today and it's a $490 repair without exchange (2 week turn around)
  12. so it looks like my PCM is on it's way out. I need boiling water to start it when cold :(
  13. I've bwwn having an issue with the ute the past few weeks. It has big misses randomly while cruising and occasionally turns itself off. It can be nesr on impossible to start afterwards where I can nearly flatten the battery trying. Plugs are new. Coils are about 50,000km old. The xcal shows cam sensor faults in bank a and b. I've pulled the tappet cover off and checked the cam phasors, they look alright (had an issue with one a few years back). I'm guessing I'll need to change the coils but would a dud coil explain the car tuening itself off?
  14. Probably best off going a surge with two pumps (460's) and a fpr 1200 so the fuel pressure sits nice.
  15. The utes great so not sure what you're on about but don't get your knickers in a knot. I was saying, you're getting caught up around the axels. Get it running. Enjoy it and then start tinkering. It's unreal how negative you get.
  16. Hahaha Wow. Insulted by this guy. I'll accept them if/when your ute is running. . .
  17. I've been overseas where they drive on the right so yes, boost, rooted rears and driving on the left made me iffy lol.
  18. Drove it for the first time in 9 weeks
  19. No need to cry over spilt milk mate. As said, you may need a charger that has a setting to do a flat charge. Doubt the battery is beyond recovery. Just get it to the point it can be started and tuned and drive it. Do your own work with the extra stuff when you get it back. This whole thread is sounding like a broken record player.
  20. I've had a whiteline rear sway bar on mine for 7yrs. It feels good cornering. my problem is with the leaf springs. I have a set of ssl kings and the divers side sags to the point it's almost inverted. they're only 2yrs old now but happened within a few weeks of install. does having different length axels mess with the utes stepping out? I'mthinking of going a 5link rear end nxt year as well
  21. Painted the upper and lower grills with a can of black for something to do.
  22. That grey cover really suits it all. Impressive build
