Got the turbo, wastegate and high mount today, should have the plenum back tomorrow from the powder coaters. engine was supposed to go in yesterday but had to replace the spiggot bearing which got picked up today :/ Slowly getting there
So against my better judgement, probably going to replace the GTX with a Precision 6466. Sounds to be a pretty wicked turbo. Will have it on the 6boost high mount with 60mm turbo smart waste gate
I was speaking to jamie about it. THe weak point I have now is the clutch in the t56, I think its rated at either 450-500kw so if I got a bigger turbo I'd need to spend x amount o either new gearbox setup or clutch which I'm not looking at doing at all. a t4 with a precision p67 would be great but not really looking to do that
Yeah that's nxt on the cards. Engine is getting picked up tomorrow I'm gonna do a 6boost high mount setup while I'm putting the new heart in. Just hoping the clutch is upto the task :z
The engine should be in by the end of the month. If you're wondering about the cams, I believe Tony has a vidoe on his TBRE FB (november 8th post) of an engine he has done with his stage 1 cams.
Valve springs, gtx35, IC/airbox etc. still has factory rims and ride height haha. he took it to Power Play on the wknd. Runs a 400rwkw 98 tune for daily I can't this wknd, I'm working :/
Almost there Custom TBRE cp pistons, heat treat crank, spool rods and girdle. Full ARP head and main stud kits , Custom tbre porting, a set of tbre stg1 cams. PAC springs. etc.
Unsure on the cost of porting alone - probably near the 1k mark I'd imagine. same size valves etc. I'm getting cam put in as well, will be the same as Wayne Campbells if anyone has heard it on youtube.
The engine is almost done, just waiting on the head to be ported & polished really. Decided to get all new sensors for new one so I can sell my current f6 engine complete. talk about expensive!
