  6. Can you just take the front drive shaft off from the transfer case!
  7. I've been looking at the garrett web site and they reckon that IC's for normal street applications with air/air range between 60% and 70% efficiency and water/air between 75% and 95% then there's the ice!
  8. Howz it going Cobramad, I think they're about $130 and are a easy mod to lengthen the runners to.I started reading Brian's write up from ARE about intercooling and have to read it again to take it in properly, but wouldn't it be interesting to see what the water/air could do on the turbo 6 with a combination of LPG or unleaded fuel!
  9. HaHa there,s a few of them out there that would make us work for it.The Territory has a shhhit load of room under the bonnet but what I would like to know is if I was to go ahead with this ,by using the stock turbo what size ICP would I use on each side of the barrel. Can there be anything that's to big! Here's a pic of the airbox mod to draw from behind the head light using the ED's airbox pipe work turned around.
  10. Thanks for that Pube that's handy to know.I know there's not alot of these set ups but there is a fair chance that skippy would poke his head in the grill and being 700k's from anywhere and not having boost, would that get me very far. I also have to drive on the desert dirt so I got to take it easy, the gas tanks and missus makes sure of that.Speaking of the missus had to swap the Patrol for the TTG ,roughness for comfort, dirt for tar but at the moment were still out in the bloody sticks!Anyway I love my fords and theres plenty of playing with to be done by looking at the rides around us.
  11. I'm playing with the idea of having a PWR liquid/air 6"x8" barrell intercooler that's rated at 447kw for the TTG and was curious for some thoughts on it! I have around 7 to 8 inchs of clearance under the bonnet so pipe work size can be pretty big,5" for the IP from the standard air box position to the turbo with a K&N filter is what I have in mind. The length to the throttle body wont be very long so what size pipe work would be suitable to use with the barrel, there probably will only be two bends a 90 on the hot side and maybe maybe not a 45 on the cold side. The scoop will be putting air in over the throttle body area, would this affect the thermo fans to much. All this because out here ambient temp ranges between 35 to 50 degrees in the summer.A Mace Engineering insulator under the plenum will lift the throttle body 25mm,keep it cooler and lengthen the intake runners and give more volume in the plenum. Thank you for your thoughts Alan..
  12. They reckon that the volume of the plenum should be around 80% of the volume of the cylinders to which it is connected so im not sure what the standard one is. I was thinking that 12mm would be enough to get more clearance off the cover under the pipe work, maybe for a bigger pipe.Im thinking of putting some 5" pipe from the standard air box to the turbo with a water/air intercooler back to the throttle body so there will be some short pipe work.Out here the temp off the roads gets pretty hot. Anyway I like how you proved that you can make some nice numbers.
  13. Hows it going Fast-XR you have some nice pipe work there, have you checked out Mace Engineerings manifold and Plenum insulators! They are 12mm thick so will lift the throttle body and give you more volume in the plenum as well as keepn it cool? This pics without the plenum insulator.
