  1. Sold my car to a 65 year old lawn bowls player from the gold coast today, deadly serious. Gotta love irony! Bye for a while guys.
  2. Yeah I know mate, but I've got to sort out other priorities unfortunately. I've had black cars before and because the Ego grey has that fleck in it, it doesn't seem to show up the dirt quite as bad as a solid grey or black. Give them a wash once a week and they're fine. IMO, the cashmere brightens up the otherwise dark interior. People say that that denim can rub off etc etc.. but I've had no issues - just have to give them a once over with leather wipes and they look nice. The Ego/cashmere combo just seems to work, especially at night time.
  3. Hey guys. I have now started my new job and looking for a house too, so my G6ET is up on Carsales. http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/ford-falcon-2008-12294835?base=1216&vertical=Car&Range=Price:Min,Max~0.5|Year:2008,Max&page=1&eapi=2&sort=~Price&cr=4&__N=1216%201282%201621%204294680596&silo=Stock&find=g6e%20turbo|CarAll Cheers
  4. Yeah just something a little different and more suitable. I've had two Ford turbos now and they're great, so maybe a supercharged v8 later down the track, who knows? lol. I've had a few questions about the Growler and I'm talking to the first person in at the moment - if anything doesn't work out I'll be sure to let others know!
  5. Unfortunately keeping it as a toy would stress me financially lol. Where I'm headed is near a processing shed and concrete place with no parking, so I'll get something a little more apt for the situation. I'm going to get rid of the growler box and overship BOV seperately if anyones interested.
  6. Well since I am changing jobs, the girl has to go. Can no longer keep something this nice around so it's been a fun ride guys. Time to visit carsales soon :(
  7. It's definitely an improvement, and if you can get one for around $300 it's worth it. Not as good as the PW race air box I had in my last car though.
  8. Update time. I've recently upgraded the stereo by getting Focal splits, an Option Audio 4CH amp and a Kicker slim sub installed. It was a pretty cheap upgrade that I think hits the mark. I put a Growler kit in too, as I picked up one cheap on eBay (wouldn't pay $600 for a newie). Next on the list is lowering with King Springs (I believe the SSL/SSSL combo to be the best?) and slimline plates. I'm very tempted to shoot for 300 with a PW S.2, dekkas, cat and tune, but where would I stop then? lol
  9. Good to see some passionate arguments being ignited lol. My sister's friend has a white M3 and it made me drool, but I'm not loaded, I like supporting Aussie ingenuity, parts are easier to obtain, and Ford is the sh*t basically lol. Some people think cars are transport on four wheels, but they're a passion of mine and my new purchase reflects everything I appreciate about auto.
  10. Yeah, I'm thinking badges back on. I can find the side ones genuine on ebay, but I think I'll have to suck it up and visit the dealership for the boot ones The LSD would have been a good addition, but I won't be doing a great deal of 'spirited' driving that I did in the turbs ute.
  11. Thanks fellas. The depreciation worries me a bit, but stuff it, it's what I wanted! Mmm I regularly get looks as though 'is that your dads car'? lol all good though. One of my bosses has a V8 Calais and reckons mine is a taxi with a turbo strapped to it - in some ways true, but Expensive Daewoo fanboys are very one sided. I like the Maloo I must say, but Ford is just making smarter and faster cars, especially with the GT 335, so I go with the best! Also, I was getting very sick of a loud, drony exhaust so I must say it's good to have something quiet. And isn't that sound of the turbo/BOV and faint rasp of the exhaust just awesome! The guy who I bought it off debadged the thing, but I'm tossing up getting some badges to put back on (the clean look is nice, but for the price, I kinda want it in original cond). What do you guys reckon?
  12. She's got 38,000km on her and I picked her up for $29,750 private sale. And that is quite the philosophical question there hrick lol
  13. Thanks for the comments guys. Yeah I have noticed a lot of G6ET owners are young. It's a good feeling when coppers aren't pulling you up all the time and SS guys aren't trying to race you at every red (although the rearview image is good entertainment ) I was tossing up between a winter white FG XR6T and going for the panda look, and the G6, but there were no whites around at the time and for the options, I couldn't resist. The lip spoiler, 19s (one of Ford's better wheels), front grille, leather, piano finish and sleekness pretty much sold it for me. I'm overdue for a service, so I'm thinking of going with the Nulon 10w40 full synthetic. What do you guys use?
  14. Hey guys I haven't posted for a while but it's good to be back. I've moved on from my BA XR6T ute days and have now got myself an 08 G6ET for a steal! I'm 22 and I love the insurance on a stock one of these compared to my modded ute, the fuel consumption is better, it rides like silk and most importantly - has more go. I love when people call this an old man's car, because it means I won't be seeing too many around for my age bracket. It's good to stand out by means of stealth . I plan on keeping it stock for now, not withholding the addition of a Kicker 8 inch sub to replace the farty premium Ford one. This is a brilliant car and I hope you're all enjoying as much as me. Cheers
  15. Ok no worries. Will send them now. Were you thinking of getting items posted? cheers
