you would have to check if the scratch has gone through the polarizer film or not, a few pics would be good! the company I work for sell those sort of TFT LCD's, we buff out scratches quite often, but really depends how deep they are... extreme caution should be taken here though!

Not sure if anyone else is getting this but the site is having a mini spazz since the down time yesterday arvo. I am getting a whole bunch of broken code OCCASIONALLY above the site header, sometimes the New Content is showing nothing and the cool orange icon has gone the site icon is now that crappy IP Board one. Another interesting one is you go into a forum such as "Off Topic" and it goes back to the forum homepage... but only occasionally. Can people please donate so the guys who run this great site can get the software needed to fix all the bugs

always happy to donate! the info I've gotten off of here thus far would've cost me a fortune at an auto elec or mechanic. im always willing to help wherever I can (CJF077 still waiting for the PM mate regarding that other stuff) I think the site should be free to browse, guests and NOT DM shouldnt be allowed to have questions answered and get their stuff fixed for free, or be allowed to participate in group buys etc... well something along those lines. Theres needs to be something enticing to make the cheapos chip in. in fact I get paid on the 15th so I'll be chipping in a hundy then I've been on heaps of other forums but this is the only one I donate too, I find the others just full of crap and dont really trust the advice, yet the guys on here seem very experienced and often give sound advice.

I've been discussing with Dillz about helping the site out with some merchandise, things like T-Shirts, Hoodies, Stubby Holders and maybe hats and keyrings. Below is a design I came up with to put on the back of a hoodie or tshirt with the normal FordXR6Turbo.com logo on the front. T-shirts and Hoodies would come in black or white with the logos inverted. Let us know what you think, I'll do t-shirts and hoodies first and if people like we can go from there. I'm doing all the design work myself so if you had any ideas I could probably change something for you or offer something unique... an idea was to put the users site name on the back or front... something along those lines if people wanted. This is just 1 idea of design, im working on a whole bunch more that I'll put up shortly.

so Rudiger just to clarify we are taking the Great Ocean road backwards in effect? coming onto the road at Skenes Creek then heading back towards Lorne after lunch at Apollo Bay, then from Lorne heading the back way towards Deans Marsh. So on our way there we will take the Geelong Bypass to Waurn Ponds then head down the Princes Hwy and take the turn off to Skenes Creek? I'm really confused! do you think you could map it out in Google maps and post the link to the route instead of just the map?

to be honest the pic looks pretty crap, I took it days after the job was finished so the clear coat still looks quite glossy. I'll take a better pic today, now you cant even tell they have been painted, they look like they came from the factory like that

I painted the rims on the girlfriends XR5, came out mint... cost around $50 for all the stuff from Autobarn. I'm sure I've got better photos somewhere! Sanded back wheels, 2 coats of primer, 2 coats of Mat Black, 2 coats of clear coat and done Some of the boys on here have seen the car up close and cant believe they were done with a DIY spray can hrmmm actually that quite a bad photo! if you want I'll take a better pic for you this arvo

nah just any of them mate, as long as its UHF 40 Channel you'll be sweet. The more expensive ones can be clearer and get a lot more range, but for what we use them for any of them will do

I got a Uniden 1W from Tandy, cost like $80, you can get cheaper ones for around $30. I've even seen them at Kmart once

I ran a 12.89 in a stock FG Manual (well had a K&N and replaced intake pipe) with taxi tyres on The key for me was to do as bigger burnout as possible, get to the tree, stall it up to 3000RPM with the handbrake up a little but finger on the button. Tree goes green and just wait until your ready for a good take off (remember they're not counting your response time) get a good even match from releasing the handbrake to releasing the clutch, the hardest and most crucial part rev out to 6000RPM (verge of the rev limiter), changing into 2nd and 3rd only put the clutch in a little, slam the gear stick in and keep your foot flat on the accelerator, remember you have triple synchos so the gear stick is going to slide right in. I got a 1.98 60ft which is pretty good for a stock manual. picky of my magical run, I have 2 numbers cause the missus wanted to have a go as well, actually she got a 13.9 which isnt too bad at all!

actually I'll be down in Frankston tonight, unfortunately cant come fellas, I have stockys on the back due to cracking a wheel on a pot hole. probably wouldnt be a good idea cruisin in a car with burnout tyres on the back! At least whatever car he gets will have the Turbo badge On the last cruise we had some NA's come along, needless to say they played catchup most of the day and actually peeled off before the cruise was over, without the badge mate Dillz would be making real good friends with those guys Actually I do believe I heard one of the NA boys call the XR5 Turbo slow a car that's half a click in front of you is not slow my friend ok I may be a little bit bias as that XR5 Turbo was a present for my girlfriend
