yes yes I know I'm a bit of a sook, however I have never locked myself out of my own car! Rookie mistake deserves L plates I can take you for a drive if you like, help you get your 120 hours if anybody is interested in a cruise during the week or whenever just PM me, I'm always keen to take the car out of the garage

Hey Rudiger my missus has a free pass to Calder this Friday night so she will be giving it a go! I might get her to do a bit of the driving Saturday too. I'm going to hate to see my fuel bills after this weekend, but its OK - Tax Deductible!!!

yer mate the white FG, its been off the road for 4 weeks with a broken tail shaft, I got it back the day I had to go overseas for work, so in total haven't driven it for 5-6 weeks. No mods as yet but very very soon!!! Shall be a very busy weekend, Friday Night - Calder, Sat - Cruise, Sat Night - Photo Shoot. It will be good to catch up with everyone again, been hanging for a cruise since Mt Baw Baw

ipad = ripped off, HP Atom based laptops with USB ports are under $600, have PROPER bluetooth, Wifi, 3G module, SD Card reader and this new thing that Americans have never heard of... USB (somehow missing on the ipad) I have 2 jobs, for one I have an iphone (have no choice) and the other I have a blackberry, the iphone battery lasts 1 day with push email and the blackberry lasts 1 week with 5 push emails. The iphone is rated for 300 charge cycles to the battery, now if I charge it everyday because its dead flat (everyone in the office has the same problem)then how many days will my overpriced POS last? The best ipad alternative is a HP slate, look them up, tablet PC's have been around forever, all of a sudden you remove any features that a user may need and its called a revolutionary device that everyone wants

hey fellas I had the stock white FG, first time I've had the car on the track... I ran a 13.33 at 172km/h with a 60ft of 2.00, I was pretty happy with that. can't wait to start doing mods and see the times improve my only problem is that its hard to get nice gear changes in the manual I'll be there again in 2 weeks if anyone is interested

Hey guys going to Calder this friday (weather permitting) and its been years since I've done a run there. Just wondering the procedure of how to do everything so I dont look like an idiot! currently I've got an FG XR6T Manual with 20"s and no mods! I want to start getting some runs in before I mod the car so I have some comparisons. obviously I dont want to go down the strip on the 20"s so I'll be using 16" on the rear, do I drive to calder on my 16" or change the wheels once im there? if I change them once im there where can I leave my tools and wheels. also if someone could recommend how much fuel I'll need to pull up in that would be appreciated. if there is anything else that someone could recommend that would also be greatly appreciated

The car has done 7,000Km, on Saturday afternoon I was sitting at the lights on Stud Rd as usual with the trans in first and the clutch in ready to go, lights went green, I accelerated, eased the clutch out... and no clutch!!! the pedal stayed to the floor. This was followed by a killer burnt clutch smell in the car, I popped the clutch back out with my foot and then put it back in and it all started working again, about 5km down the road I was sitting next to some guys and they said they have never seen an FG XR6T give it hell off the line, so I thought I would humour them! again the car didnt move (I felt so embarrassed) So I took it to the car wash to get ready for the cruise (worrying like crazy that the clutch is F'd, trying to think about what I had done to it)washed the car and went home, the clutch was fine after the car wash. On the cruise it was ok all morning, as we started to hit the twisties I got a faint smell of clutch and then after that it has all worked perfectly! I kept up with everyone on the way up and down without any slippages or clutch smell. I thought I would check it last night, so I revved the engine to 3000rpm, dumped the clutch and the car went crazy and took off a million miles an hour as it usually does, no slippage or smells to be seen. Any suggestions would be appreciated, as you can imagine it is a new car and I am worried that there is something wrong

not sure about the popping noise, I havent noticed anything like that, the only thing I get are the tough sounding pops when you down gear with the manual, my understanding was its excess fuel getting burnt off in the exhaust. on that note, my brother had a VZ SS ute and was draging a BF XR6T, they got to 240Km/H out the back of Bendigo, my bro down geared to slow down... engine over fueled way too much, put too much fuel into the exhaust and both his middle mufflers detonated and blew the ass end of the exhaust straight out the back of the car... it was interesting explaining it to Holden!!! I was in the car with him at the time, I have never heard a pop like that!!! not sure if you guys know but I was having clutch issues on saturday, it smelt at the start of the cruise but was gone by the end, took it to Ford today and they said that because they cant replicate the fault theyre not going to pull the clutch out and have a look, well that sucks!!! what they did do was log the fault so if I do notice the problem again or if my clutch shoots out the side of the car (which I have seen a turbo charged torana with a 6ltr v8 do) it will be covered under warranty and replaced straight away because they knew about the problem earlier

your right phocus, the standard T brakes calipers are quite small, maybe its because we have a larger vented disk? our rear brakes are even smaller

pretty sure it was turbo mate, not sure though, he turned up late and left early. didnt hear it at all
