yep US XBOX is NTSC, but then my AUS PAL games wont play on it. yer I cant really play while driving, the other day my little boy was playing xbox and he had to turn it off cause we were going out, once we got in the car he asked why he couldn't play the xbox in the car... and I thought well why not Here are some pics, unfortunately its really hard to take pics while driving between Geelong and Ballarat on that joke they call a road but you get the idea.

ahhh you missed the turn off! I completely forgot about that!!! absolute classic Although in Rudigers defense the notice of letting us know where the turn off was very short, 5 sec later and I would've been boosting it in the outside lane and missed it as well

Hey guys have recently started to do the install for a few more uses for FG premo colour screen. Currently I have an Xbox 360 installed, install was super easy and took about an hour, I use my phone as a wireless hotspot and I can play CoD anywhere where I have 3G reception. While I had the interior apart I thought stuff it I'll install the video out from my Samsung Android as well. On the samsung I use a program called Torque, its a simple OBDII reader with some cool features and nice looking front ends. Torque also has a track recorder that allows me to record HD video going through the twistys while overlaying OBDII info such as speed, rpm and boost. You can also overlay a map from google maps as well. Its handy because going through the twistys you cant really look and see how your car is going, but with this you can play back the video and see exactly where you were and know all the info from your car at that time. ok back to the point... currently working on an i7 based in car computer that will run Windows 7 Media Center so I can use a remote on a really simple GUI layout, I have done touch screens in the past but find them hard to use while driving. once this is done I can remove the phone input and run all the OBD stuff from the computer, so the final install will be car conputer running bla bla bla all the usual crap and the 360 for kickass gaming. Photos and an install guide to come if anybody wants them. All of it is made possible by the ASL FG500 module. Also a quick question for the tech heads out there, quite simply the Xbox 360 only allows PAL output, the ASL module only likes NTSC. does anybody know of a cheap converter module or any other way to get around this? The xbox is currently running fine in black and white until I get over this PAL/NTSC issue.

that's a good idea! Its a personal preference for me, I'm not the Prime Minister or anything and my location is curious to lots of people, I just prefer the anonymity. I dont like the idea that people can come on here and know what car I drive then know when I'm away for the weekend. I guess its a security thing. If some little wanker from my suburb cruises through here and recognises my car and knows where I live and then knows I'll be away for the weekend... who knows Theres plenty of dicks on the internet these days, and not really keen on them having this info. It would be good if this could extend to member garages and profiles as well

Hey just wondering if it were possible to change the cruise section of the forum to be accessible only to members or better yet donating members? I only ask because I was just on the Vic Alpine cruise thread and could read everything including the routes and dates in the first post and realised I wasnt logged in and was viewing as a guest! I could even go as far as reading one of the posts that had links to personal photos of the cruise. Most info on the forum like tech knowledge etc is ok but this section can sometimes provide very specific info. what do you think?

That little place was great, just tucked in the hills in the middle of nowhere, glad we stopped there, the car needed a breather, the sign the car needed a break? - Smoke pouring out the front and rears! Weather was perfect mate, between 22 and 25 both days, well that's what the car was saying anyway

Got to Omeo a bit a go, sitting on the net on Gary's wifi hotspot. Today was absolute perfect weather with some great roads! Tomorrow is set to be even better! Some great photo opps and all cars running fine thus far. Now time to have a meal at the Hill Top Hotel, have some beers and get ready for tomorrow!

so only 1 day and 17 hours to go, unfortunate that the cruise list never got any bigger, but should be a hoot none the less so is there anything else on the list we need to bring? I have tools covered. hopefully everybodys passengers are prepared
