  1. I forgot to give props to the XR5 Turbo, good work keeping up with the front runners to the top of Lake Mountain. Nice to keep the turbo name alive and show the NA boys the what fors PS I'm not bias at all, but seriously good work!

  6. but I thought blocking the BOV was bad because of long story short it make the turbo slow down due to reverse pressure The best one I've heard yet... it could even make the turbo spin backwards But in all seriousness please dont debate it here!!! on a side not which end of the BOV do I block off again? is this legal? is there a blow off valve that will make the flutter sound? how do I make my car do the fully sick dose that VL's have? I know I'm taking the piss, sorry im at work and am really bored

  8. you would also think that a company like Ford could produce a car that doesnt break tail shafts, kill diff bushes, have working ipod modules, or have working air con modules straight from its release, yet here we are 2 years on from the FG release and are constantly taking our cars back for warranty repairs for stuff they couldnt get right from when it was released. Anyway back to the topic, the cooler does look cheap and nasty but if it does the job for a stocker than so be it, not sure what the big deal is, most of us mod the car anyway and one of the first port of calls is an after market cooler.

I have an 09 FG XR6T Manual, I get the exact same symptoms and have narrowed it down to fuel, I don't want to spark any fuel wars on here but I find MY car runs the best on Caltex 98, I know Caltex insane right? To the point where on BP and Shell 98 fuel I can get a 13 flat at Calder, yet on Caltex 98 I get around the 12.8 - 12.9. I dont even bother with Mobile 98 anymore since the time I ran a 13.5 on it! I have no idea why this is, perhaps the car is female and has an attitude problem

  12. I have absolutely no idea what your talking about mate I point and click and have some mild understanding of SOME of the settings. Now if you have a hardware related problem... let me know cause I know all the info in the world about that. hey that looks heaps better!!! did you hit the Auto Correct Button on Windows Office Picture Viewer? cause that didn't work for me

  16. :repost: as for the smaller turbo The smaller turbo as most tune houses would tell you is a way better setup for how they come from factory, smaller turbo means boost comes on earlier making the stocker quite a nice, neat and quick package As most people always forget, these cars DON'T come from the factory with modding in mind!!! yes smaller turbo is bad for high kw in modded cars but Ford do not give a crap, once you break your warranty your on your own. If they made a car that was ready for modding etc it would cost a fortune. The car is made for drive-ability, safety, longevity and manufacturing cost in mind on what is produced straight out of the factory. but feel free to prove me wrong
  17. the phone unlocking thing is funny, if only the MIC on your phone picked up radio waves as well as sounds saves... different spectrum unfortunately, or better yet if a phone signal didnt have compression to knock off the bottom and top peaks (high and low) for better transmission in fact if this were true and sound waves from a phones mic/speaker were the same as the radio waves of a keyless system, how come when I walk through a car park talking on the phone random cars dont just decide to lock and unlock This coming from an engineer who understands that sometimes real world stuff doesnt always relate to the theory or technology its based upon... so im always happy to be proved wrong

  19. I love these BOV threads, they go on forever. After I removed the pipe with the cone in it the turbo spool sounds awesome! I already had a blocked BOV so replacing that pipe with the Rapid one increases the flutter noise too. I wonder if anyone is interested in making an FAQ to BOV's and include a sound board so people know all the different sounds
  20. how come we don't do night cruises? or stupidly early cruises? There's nothing like hitting Lake Mountain or the Great Ocean road at like 5am, there are absolutely no cars on the road, air temps are cold and you can go for it! within the confines of the law of course. Dags is there any post you don't look at? mate you must be the boredest person out there! however props for how much content you can go through in a day
