the best I can do for you mate is an artist impression, no actual photos as yet, still in the process of making the moulds of the headlight lense to make the actual eye lid.

yep turn them all off, you wont be so smart when skynet fights back what does the stereo have to do with making things safer or easier? when you have an accident does it say sh!t man you just had an accident? call it a late prevention device I'm just really bored at work mate, and had a close call this morning that I know was ok to get out of but my car didnt agree and almost put me in it. I can admit traction control has saved me a few times, ABS however has never saved me, its just thrown me into the car infront when I wasnt even close to locking up... but that's different and very long winded story in itself so we should stay away from that one. But come on, is the ZF all the mystical and all empowering? the auto guys talk about it like its the device of the century, that it goes far and beyond being an auto and actually turns into the stig and drives the car for you

most chasers have those wheels dont they? personally have seen those wheels on an FG from factory

yep no worries, I have time over the holidays to do a bit more work so will keep you posted

So I take it when they tighten the bolt the head shears off leaving the rivet like surface behind. curiosity takes over and ponders how Ford were planning on their service guys being able to do repairs/maintenance in this area. I guess technically there is nothing under the PCM besides the strut tower bolts which you can get to anyway without removing the PCM. Reminds me of the bolts that hold the tailshaft to the diff, when you loosen the bolts they turn to powder, you need to get new bolts every time... well that's the case in my FG anyway. so they are a 1 time use only

this is the only thread I have ever read where people have recommended the manual over the auto! oh the ZF can do this, it can do that I love my manual to death, it is by far the best box I've ever owned, the triple synchros into 2nd and 3rd are unbeatable, my stocky FG Manual ran a 12.89 down the qtr with a 1.99 60ft which is right up there with the autos, even faster than some. society has become lazy, oh no you have to use a clutch you poor thing. The skill of driving has gone unfortunately, with traction/stability control and the ZF auto you are merely a passenger that nicely asks the car to accelerate please, brake please, turn the corner please, if you feel up to it can you please change gear. The word "driver" should be stricken from the records. Sorry my anger is partially due to a sticky moment this morning where I was in the left lane on Maroondah hwy, came across an "obstruction and had to move over, there was a gap a little in front of me so I went to down shift to accelerate into the gap and the f*ing car stayed there with the traction light on, I had to reef the brakes and pull in when there was a gap. F*OFF CAR, I AM THE DRIVER NOT YOU, YOU DO WHAT I SAY All well off to the tuner to get the traction removed completely ohh wait for the flames to come back sorry im at work and am really bored

maybe they didnt balance the shaft properly when they replaced it?

there you go, you learn something new everyday at first glance it looks like a rivet

no way a TRD Aurion. oh no See how you go with the warranty stuff, I can recommend a fantastic dealer but they are down here in Vic. Yer the oil thing doesn't sound right, I had a bit of oil seepage on the intake pipes (I have the rapid pipe as well) and noticed some of it got into the hot side piping as well, not enough to pool but enough to make me fit a catch can to the rocker cover breather. The traction control normally works quite well, it can sometimes be a little hesitant in the inbetween conditions, I've had the car in snow and it worked perfectly. The backfiring is certainly a strange one, I have removed my center muffler and get plenty of gurgles and burps, but sounds tough, doesnt sound like bad backfiring. When I hit the twisties and slam into second (manual trans) from 90km to make a 30km corner I can get some quite loud pops but that's about it. Rough idle, mixed with oil on hot side pipes and backfiring might mean theres a problem good luck with everything mate, let us know how you go.

I guess the only way is to drill them out, im not aware of a rivet removal tool

that doesnt sound good at all mate, most of us have had these issues at some point or another. - Stereo screen wont show the MP3 off the iPod sometimes. It just goes blank. - sounds like you have an old ipod module in the car, the newer module should solve this and should be upgraded under warranty - A/C condensation leaks into the drivers footwell - probably due to the known faulty HIM module, again completely covered under warranty - Oil leaking from the turbo into the intake pipe. (the joins of the I/C piping is wet with oil) - the oil isnt coming from the turbo, its getting sucked in from the oil breather out of the rocker cover and dribbles down the piping, a little bit of oil is acceptable but a mechanic would have to tell you if its normal or not - Cold start idle is rough. I'm talking ROUGH. It's like I have a massive cam in an old school v8. Without any exaggeration, the whole car shakes on idle. *BRUP BRUP BRUP* - no idea - Traction control. What traction control? Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. I'm not saying that I dont enjoy the odd tail happy drive here and there, but if I want to do that, I do it in a safe spot with traction control off. Not at 5am going to work around a roundabout when I'm half asleep. :( - I experience this as well, but on the whole seems to work ok, it seems to have trouble in damp conditions, dry and wet it seems to be ok - Backfiring. After a short spirited drive, if I back off after a gear change its quite common for it to backfire. (no, I'm not talking about the ZF box doing its three little pops during a gear change, I'm talking about a full on POP) - is your car completely stock? is it little burps or full on backfires?
