Have a turbo ute now, the car I had when I was active here met its demise that involved a kangaroo and a power pole. Stopped participating in car stuff when a good friend and active member here passed away (not car related). Thought I'd jump on again and have a look.

was there by any chance any new news on the Sat Nav map updates? I know behind it all is iGo and the MKII doesn't have an SD card, you have to update VIA the USB port in the center console. I have downloaded the maps off the car to USB, but am currently struggling to get any new updated map files back on the car.

The 2 best twisties I've eve been through are the ones to the north/east of the island and through cradle mountain, We got near cradle mountain towards the night and were planning the climb to the peak the next day so we stayed somewhere close (Mole Creek) the trek from the main road to Mole Creek and back was insane

Hey Gary I'll PM you but def stay away from the Great Lakes in the middle, dirt roads and treacherous as all hell (you know how I drive through twisties so you can only imagine what I mean)

I quite like the front, I wonder if the projector headlights will be a drop in replacement for the current FG. not keen on the ICC, it looks like some ricer has gone to work with a fiberglass kit to fit that screen in, the dials look alright though.

On my FG I can't get Oil Temp, from my understanding the car only has an oil pressure switch (that's why I have an oil temp gauge) Not sure about the trans, mine is a manual and I don't have it. The software supports both but my OBD isn't outputting the PID data for those. The software can log these sensors from the phone GPS Time Device Time Longitude Latitude GPS Speed (Meters/second) Horizontal Dilution of Precision Altitude Bearing G(x) G(y) G(z) G(calibrated) Acceleration Sensor(Total)(g) and these available sensors from my car Ambient air temp(°C) Catalyst Temperature (Bank 1 Sensor 1)(°C) Engine Coolant Temperature(°C) Engine Load(%) Engine RPM(rpm) Intake Air Temperature(°C) Intake Manifold Pressure( psi ) Horsepower(hp) Torque(Nm) Turbo Boost & Vacuum Gauge(psi) Voltage (OBD Adapter)(V) Calculations based on info from car and phone, wouldn't trust accuracy Horsepower(hp) Torque(Nm)

Here is a simple block diagram of what to do I think it is pretty self explanatory, let me know if there are any issues

haha that's funny, my boost reads alright but a mate of mine has the same ones and his reads high

if your talking about the AUX port on the FG500 (this is what the dvd player uses) then it reads any input perfect as long as its NTSC and not PAL. keep in mind if you get a different DVD player it has to support NTSC output or it wont work. Minor update, Xbox is working perfectly now, cheap as PAl to NTSC converter off ebay fixed it all up

The pics and vids look really good! A big thanks to Gary and Adam for organising, it was a great day and I only sustained some minor damage - I overloaded my power steering pump around some of those tight corners so its a bit noisy, and I cracked a headlight protector and bonnet protector (thank god they were there because a headlight protector is much cheaper to replace than a headlight!!!) The car ran really well, I didnt experience any brake fade, the clutch felt good at the end and for those in the know I managed to get home with all 4 wheels I started with! Next up, get ready for the snowies

Hi Everyone, just wondering what is the best app to use to access the site VIA mobile phone. I have a Blackberry (OS6) and a Samsung Galaxy S (Android) What does everyone use?

unfortunately I can't remove it, it shows as greyed out error that needs to be removed by the manufacturer. I'm wondering if my OBD reader has gone faulty, I'll try another one and see if I get the same error. I don't mind going back to Ford, but I'm in Geelong now and the Ford Service here are a bunch of time wasting tossers

I have an 09 XR6 Turbo Manual, today I plugged in my OBD to check for any errors, error P1260 came up. After some googling all signs seem to point to Engine Immobilized or the security system has been set off. Yet the car starts and runs perfectly so I have no idea. Does anybody have a list of OBD codes and what they mean? I check the cars OBD periodically and no errors have ever come up. The only thing I can think of is I was adding some electronics lately and had to disconnect the battery, yet everything came back fine when I reconnected the battery. Does anybody have any ideas?
