The bearing was stripping ... so they replaced the entire unit! I was noticing a pretty dramatic drop in boost as well as it screaming it's tits off when I was on the gas :-)

run them hard mate, I float between 38-40 fulltime front and back, if im towing in which case 42

FG XR6T > 75,000km's in 18 months .... runs like a dream and tows 2 tonne every other weekend, early on at 30K service blown turbo was replaced :-)

Guys thanks for your input, made for a laugh at the very least... I will revert to tranny's initial post, don't park like that -) On the Ford bashing, it's just irritating more than anything - the engine is an absolute beast! just wish the quality and ford service was above par. The initial concern was if this had the potential to cause major engine problems.

Seriously mate, this is second time round for running into astoundinly poor build quality from Ford. Last time round it was BA XR6 that was total junk. This time it's a 2010 FG XR6T, interior head-lining is falling down, interior molds are ajar, engine has rough idle on start, premium sound is utter crap, ford service honestly suck! .. it's a f&*ing disgrace! (20K) Oh and now you have to be careful where the bloody thing is parked! Unfortunately ive got this care for two years... sorry to be so blunt, after running multiple JAP built cards, the quality IS NOT THERE.

Yup super Tranny it's a piece of sh*t, how dare I park it on anything but a level gradient. Truly, thanks for your input guys!

Front, my thinking is it's a simple case of presure building up - either way it's pretty crap... it ain't good which ever way you look at it.

for the love of god, heaven forbid park the car on a hill! why did I buy this piece of crap!!!! It was serviced at 15K, City Ford - Oil level is max! check it after running engine for a few minutes...

hey all, fg xr6t. 20,000k's - when reverse parked in driveway on hill, engine has a cold engine knock for few minutes whilst pressure builds up in top end. the muppets at ford tell me this is normal and to not park it like that??? what a load of croc, are they actually series??? if I park on flat, no problem! it's just when reversed up hills and on cold starts... starting to get really annoyed with this piece of crap quality build... the car is rubbish

So first time post, short time reader ;-) Order placed today for XR6T in Mystic with Luxury+Tech Packs, curtain air-bags, 2300kg tow pack... Needless to say I can't wait and am looking forward to my blue oval, after driving Toyota's for a few years since my BA. Delivery isn't expected until first week of May. Will post pics as soon as I pick turbo up :-)
