Thanks mate, il add that to the list of things to buy in the next week. Rowdy burns said the same thing. I gotta say, this list is just gunna go on.. And on... And on... And the problem is I would rather be over pre-cautious as this is my daily car I drive to work.

Thanks for the compliments, u have yourself a beast too! Must be alot of fun going sideways in 2nd and 3rd gear... I'm gunna take your advice and get a conservative tune at no more than 350rwkw for about 6- 8 months until I put enough money aside to upgrade the bottom end. I don't have a surge tank but I dont really allow the petrol to fall any lower than 1/2 full. I suppose that will b on the next on the "to buy list".

Dillz, that what I'm worried about mate. They say anywhere around 360 rwkw Can b dangerous. That's why I kinda wanted a ball park figure Of how muck rwkw I will b looking at... I'm not sure where I would stand?

Hey guys. Currently pulling 311rwkw in my 2005 BA xr6t ute (6 speed). Seeing the tuner in 2 weeks and the excitement has kicked in and I would like to know if there's any more supporting mods I need before hand?? Not that I don't trust them I just like to hear it 2nd hand. And secondly, what rwkw will I roughly b at??? I already have the following mods in place: 3.5 inch stainless exhaust (xforce) High flow cat Bigger injectors Heavier duty valve springs Exedy twin plate clutch Xcal Bov Custom tune 20 inch wheels. And the followings mods purchased: 1000hp plazmaman intercooler Plazmaman hot and cold piping Plazmaman 4" airbox kit Fuel pump Actuator Battery re- location (still not sure boot/ passenger side Any extra adice will be greatly appreciated as this is my pride and joy Cheers.

I've had 2 mates buy xr6 turbos from auctions in Sydney. Yes u do get great deals. They can range from ex-fleet cars, stolen and reprossed. 3 years later and they are still going strong, One now currently pulling over 400rwkw. Just make sure u do all the appropriate checks on the vehicle such as vin/ chassis. They do (depending on the auctioner) offer warranty aswell. Good luck.

Cheers mate, ye I'm going to go the plazmaman 4" intake set-up with the airbox. I think I might be leaning towards the 1000. Let us know how u go with your 800. What power will you be chasing with the 800??

Hey mate, quick question. I'm indecisive at the moment between the 800hp and the 1000hp cooler. Throttle response is my biggest issue/ lag. What is your throttle response like with the bigger cooler? I'm currently pulling 311rwkw and with more mods over the next couple of weeks I want to b around 360-370rwkw. I've read somewhere if your cooler is "too large" it will create more lag. I thought with u having to experience the larger cooler u would b a better person to ask. Cheers.

Couldn't agree more. I've lost 3 best mates in 3 separate accidents all thinking there bullet proof. Unfortunately until it happens to a mate or family member it doesn't seem to get through to people.

Mate it sucks in hot air from the engine bay and you do loose minimal power. But alot of people still do this. If u are after the "flutter noise" run a 4 inch pipe off the turbo with a pod filter on the end , then into an airbox. You will have to re-locate your battery to the other side though. Plazmaman do sell these kits. Check there website.

Mate the wife had exactly the same car for 2 years. Beautiful car to drive but as soon as something went wrong with it, parts were an issue. Sevice was extremely expensive which is what they don't tell u. I think around $600 for a standard service. Service must be done through Alfa to keep warranty. Overal.... Didnt regret buying it, Beautiful to drive, expensive to run.

I too have the same problem. I have an exedy twin plate clutch with 311rwkw and was in the process of putting up a new thread untill this popped up. Gotta love this forum for advice or answers.. Good luck with your results.

Thanks for the advice mate. That sounds like a good idea. My second option might be even the Plazmaman 800hp kit (with hot side piping) and buying the swing valve, upgraded fuel pump and acuator seperately, then getting a re-tune. That probably explains why I couldnt find any new reviews. Autotech engineering in sydney still sell the kits. If they are discontinued is there are reason?? Will it be worth purchasing the kit or looking for similar kits??

(As when I searched for this product I couldnt find anything other than 2005-2007, seems to be outdated??) Is this worth the price?? Ive been an Autotech customer for about 2 and a half years now and I couldnt speak more highly of them!!!! Spiro specialises in XR6 turbo's. He has phase kits for our cars and seems like your after the phase 1 kit. I started off with this kit and soon enough, ended upgrading to the phase 2 kit, punching out 320rwkw. Never had any problems and either have any other of my mates. HIGHLY reccomend them!!
