  1. I gotta feelin it wasn't his mrs that hit the gutter....
  2. I'm just going to do it right and follow the RTA advice. Thought I'd get some views or other advice. Thanks fellas.
  3. Ye thanks guys. Just thought I'd ask. I'm not familiar with any of this. Not out to screw anybody.
  4. I'm going to just throw it out there but... Do you need an engine number if I'm selling a car?? I have all receipts for the car??
  5. Mmmm.... If only I was more aware at the time. I just assumed all was well until now when I'm trying to sell the car. Spewing. Looks like Il have to bite the bullet and listen to the RTA and take it down to the pits. I was hoping there was another legal way of doing this.
  6. Sorry mate I'm not with ya.. Punch kit??
  7. From Sydney mate. Trying to sell the car to help pay for my wife's cancer treatment bills. Last thing I need is to be stung by the pits, etc. at the moment every cent counts so I'm looking at all options here...
  8. Hey guys, Im in a little bit of a dilemma here.. noone seems to give me the right info. Cut along story short, I blew my motor a year and a half ago on the dyno and now Im at the stage of selling the car I found out the new motor installed by my tuner doesnt have an engine number?? I assumed when you get a new engine a number comes with it?? The tuner purchased the BFF6 motor from ford. Now ive been told from the RTA after spending an hour on the phone that in order to get the engine number I need a full blue slip and then it literally needs to go to the pits for a full inspection. Is this right?? All work done to this car has been done by a reputable tuner with 380rwkw but I know what the pits are like... In other words... Im fuked!!! The tuner is telling me I only need to go to the police station and go through them?? Is there anyone else that can give me advise that has been in the same situation?? Thanks.

  10. As long as u drive it on stock tune. I couldn't help myself and drove my plaz gear on my street tune for a month and I'm sure it had a limiting factor in my engine going "bang". I would b taking it easy.
  11. Agree with Quadie.. Mine was doing a similar thing a year ago and as soon as the throttle body was cleaned, the problem was fixed.
  12. Plaz gear are great stuff!!!!! Ive only just recently installed the plaz 1000hp intercooler, hot/cold side piping, 4" intake with racebox and process west batter re-location kit. If you have the cold side piping u loose the standard intake. u need either the under battery cold air intake which is easier or... the 4" intake with race box, but this means u will need to re-locate the battery. why didnt u get the hot side piping??? it means u loose the standard cross-over all together??
  13. Thank you guys for your kind words. I went to Autotech Engineering today and they are replacing the motor with a new F6 short motor, Should hopefully be ready by the end of the week. $6500 really does hurt the pocket. Apparently I blew 2 rods. one thru the sump and the other out the side. The tuner was very impressed with the damage. Il post some photo's up tommozz of the damage.
  14. Thanks guys. Surge tank it is.
  15. Well guys il give u a bit of an update on what's been happening with the car. There's been alot of twists and Turns. 1st my beautiful wife falls very ill and nearly lost her in hospital. A week heart at 26 years old. I put everything aside for awhile, including work and my beloved car, to spend some quality Time with her. She's finally getting better, I go back to work and a little low on cash decide to install the Plazmaman Gear myself. Thanks to Alex and P.J for allowing me to ask alot of dum questions and guiding me Through the whole ideal. Hot side piping, cold side piping, process west battery re-location kit (under headlight) 1000hp intercooler and 4inch intake and racebox all installed my me and a mate. I think in total, it took me about 12hours to install (keeping in mind I have little to no experience in cars. Unfortunately with "Spiro" away on a well earn't holiday meant I had to cradle the car for the next 2 weeks before he gets back. Not a problem. I finally drop the car off to Autotech Engineering today to get the fuel pump, actuator and get the turbo housing ported along with a tune. I get a phone call at 8:00 tonight telling me the devastating news..... Your engine has "blown on the dyno".. "shattered" is the best way to describe me right now.... I raced down to the shop to see Spiro's face worse than mine... Oil everywhere!!!! It's the 1st car ever blown on his dyno and it had to be mine... I do not blame Autotech. They have always looked after my car in the best possible way. It's just one of those things. BA's are known for this and I took a gamble.. Where to now??? My wife is well, what more can I want... I'm gunna smile, work long hours and hopefully get this car I need for work (being a builder) Back on the road within 2 weeks..With alot of help from Spiro... This time a stronger bottom end....
  16. Mate I have the plazmaman airbox and have re-located the battery under the headlight. It's a great idea. Process west sell them have a look on there website. I think by memory $450?? There is no extending wires or cutting involved. It has a battery terminal that is connected inside the airbox that allows for a jumper start Incase of a flat battery. hope this helps.
  17. When I first saw the heading I'm like wtf??? Clicked in to have a look and... Wow!!! I'm a massive fan!! Looks tuff and most of all different!! I'm sick of seeing the same type of cars everywhere... Black wheels, black car or white car, black wheels.. Nice to see a change.... Well done worm.

Mate couldn't pick a better tuner. Spiro knows his stuff. Been a customer for 3 years and will Never look back. My car finally goes in tomorrow to see spiro who just got back from holidays and hoping to chase similar figures with The new plaz gear I purchased too. Great minds must think alike... Hey.. Good luck with your heavily armed goodies..you have yourself a real weapon there. Might see u on the street.
  19. Autotech engineering is up there with the best!!!! Can't go wrong with spiro!!
  20. A very enjoyable read. Great post. Complacency is a big issue.
  21. Drive to Sydney and see a bloke at Autotech engineering By the name of "spiro". I get all my work done there along with alot of other forum members. He is one of the best tuners In Sydney. His quality is 2nd to none and he is actually a site Sponsor.
  22. Mate that's a beautiful engine you got there!!! You made it all look easy...... Im hoping to hit 360rwkw next week (on a very conservative tune) after picking up a Plazmaman kit to add to the car. Im hoping in about 6 months to follow your path (if the motor will hold being a BA) and go the Atomic motor. If you dont mind what did the motor roughly set you back???
  23. I've got a BA Mk2 and I wouldn't even hesitate to say BF!!! If your lookin at getting some mods the BF are built stronger.
  24. Im with xr6tufo. Walk away. Even if he does rectify these issues it seems he has pourly maintained the car, meaning more problems can occur.
